Sell Sneakers For Cash - The Do's & Don'ts of Wearing Sneakers for Any Occasion - Our Guide
Written by Gabriel S. on December 8th 2019
When it comes to dressing your best for any occasion, there are several factors that you have to keep in mind.

For one, knowing what the motif of the event will be playing a huge role in determining whether your outfit is a hit or a miss. On the other hand, the colors that you wear are also going to be integral in the entire appeal of your look. One part of every outfit that high-key plays a major role in its style factor, however, is the pair of shoes that tie up the whole ensemble together.

Admittedly, there are hundreds of different ways to go wrong when choosing the pair of shoes that go with the rest of your outfit. However, sneakers, in particular, are an even more dangerous territory to traverse in. Pairing your sneakers with an outfit can either boost its style points by a significant amount or send all your efforts down the drain. That’s especially true when it comes to trickier events with dress codes.

At first thought, pairing your Js with a three-piece suit may seem like a banger of a fashion decision. Even so, visiting the idea a few more times will surely wipe-out the “beer google” effect of pairing a suit with sneakers. Taking the right risks will surely have you becoming the talk of the town or even a style icon.

The do’s and don’ts to watch out for

To avoid any sneaker faux pas that can have your entire outfit becoming the butt of every joke at any occasion, here are a few do’s and don’ts that you should keep in mind:

Don’t: Wearing sneakers with holes

There are several things that you can say to defend the fashion indictment-worthy crime of wearing sneakers with holes, but let’s face it: there’s never going to be an excuse to wear a banged-up pair to any event.

Having an entire crisp, clean, and fire outfit on with a pair of kicks that have a few tears in the uppers of each shoe is like having a Lamborghini without wheels—it won’t work!

If money is an issue, then there’s no need to worry because Sell Sneakers For Cash can get you out of your hole-filled predicament with a selection of kicks for less than $50.

Do: Dress according to the time and place

Unless they’re an aptly designed, appropriately colored, and not-actually-for-basketball type of pair, basketball shoes are never, ever going to be the style wave for a formal occasion—in the same way, that dress shoes should never be worn when playing on the hardcourt.

While sneakers may be the “thing” right now, it’s easy to get things mixed up and come to an event looking like a clown in your Nike KD 10 Be Trues. Additionally, it is worth noting that sneakers are a no-no for formal events such as a court appearance, company pitch, or important meeting.

Knowing what occasion you’re headed to and what time it’ll take place will go a long way in making the right decision when it comes to wearing sneakers.

Do: Choose a pair of sneakers that you’re comfortable rocking, or don’t rock them at all

Confidence, unbeknownst to most people, is the final puzzle piece of every successful, stylish outfit that draws attention and puts you at the top of the style points leaderboard. One unspoken truth of stylishly dressing is that anybody can pull off anything if they’re confident in what they’re wearing. The same applies to the choice of shoes that you put on your feet.

If a pair of shoes makes you feel ashamed to walk out of the house (let alone put them on), then do yourself a favor and change your shoes. The pair of shoes that you’re comfortable with will go with the rest of your outfit to avoid having your confidence take a hit through a backhanded comment from a tactless friend or relative.

Final words

Wearing a pair of sneakers to achieve a jaw-dropping, fashionable outfit is a task that entails a lot of risks, which makes it essential to know what you’re doing. Before you settle on a pair of sneakers for a wedding, bar mitzvah, or a birthday, take this guide into mind to make the right style decisions.

Sell Sneakers for Cash - The Differences Between Sneakers & Shoes - Our Guide
Written by Gabriel S. on December 1st 2019
Individuals use footwear from the moment they learn to walk until their last days on earth. This is why it’s one of the most common accessories for both men and women. However, it’s more than just a fashion statement because it protects the feet to maintain a comfortable feeling while walking. Tight shoes can also cause foot or ankle injuries while wearing no shoes lets bacteria enter through the feet.

Given that there are different types of shoes available, people find it challenging to differentiate athletic shoes, running shoes, and sneakers. They think that it’s all in the same, especially when they head to the shoe store to buy a pair. While sneakers and shoes serve the same purpose, there are stark contrasts between the two.

Shoes and sneakers

Sports shoes provide warmth and comfort because they fuse leather with synthetic fabrics, such as polyurethane and nylon. These shoes are so easy to clean and maintain because all you need is a wet cloth to wipe off the dirt. Meanwhile, the sole also contains polyurethane that absorbs impact from landing on the floor or obstacles on roads.

Those who train on hard terrains wear shoes with durable hard soles to withstand the rugged trail and reduce wear and tear. Meanwhile, soft-soled shoes work best for daily routines like walking because of the comfort they provide.

Meanwhile, sneakers have become a common term because people call any shoe with rubber soles as such. It got its name because the rubber soles allowed the person to sneak past someone without noise while wearing a pair. The wide array of sneakers in the market means that you can use one pair for the gymnasium and the other for running. Don’t confuse sneakers for joggers because the latter is a term used in England and Australia.

Sneakers versus shoes

Not all athletic shoes are sneakers because the former is a generic term for all footwear. Meanwhile, sneakers are a subset that features synthetic fabric and rubber soles. In contrast, there are shoes made of leather. Brogues, stilettos, and loafers are shoes while basketball footwear fall under sneakers or trainers.

You use shoes at work or during formal gatherings. Meanwhile, you wear sneakers for training, hiking, and other physical activity. Sneakers are also the rave for urban fashion as the top sneaker companies collaborate with celebrities to produce collections. Kanye West’s Yeezy line is the most famous example at the moment.

Where to buy shoes and sneakers

You can either visit a nearby retail store or buy shoes online. Dropping by a physical store allows you to assess the pairs yourself and try them to find a perfect fit. However, you must make time to do this activity. On the other hand, online shoe stores provide the capability of buying pairs without leaving your home or visiting a store. The downside, however, is that you can only rely on descriptions or pictures of the shoes before finalizing the purchase.

If you want to sell your shoes or find some sneakers, drop by Sell Sneakers for Cash in New York today! Aside from basketball sneakers, you’ll be able to find shoes from Harlems, Louis Vuitton, Astoria, and Yeezy here.
Sell Sneakers for Cash - A Brief History of Kanye West’s Non-Adidas Sneakers - Guide
Written by Gabriel S. on November 24th 2019
Rapper, entrepreneur, trendsetter — those are just some of the personas that multi-talented hip-hop artist and visionary Kanye West juggles throughout his illustrious career. However, aside from his chart-topping hits and albums, he also made his mark in the shoe industry with numerous designs.

The most prominent of which are the Yeezy sneakers through his collaboration with Adidas Originals. Since the release of the Yeezy 750 in 2015, the series gave rise to eight more designs, including the Yeezy Clog that features a foam made from algae. With more Yeezy sneakers expected to come out in the market soon, it’s time to look back at the other signature sneakers that West designed throughout the years.

Ye x Nike Part 1: Air 180 “College Dropout” (2006)

West’s first-ever signature sneaker came to life in celebration of his successful debut studio album “The College Dropout.” The sneaker has traces of blue, pink, and yellow while the tongue features the Dropout Bear logo. It also features leopard prints and white laces to make the sneaker pop.

Its release, however, was so limited that only size 12 shoes were made to coincide with Kanye’s size. There were speculations that only 24 pairs were produced, but some believed that its total inventory is less than the stated number. Regardless of how many came out, it fetched a high price whenever it popped up online because of its rarity.

Kanye West x Bape “Dropout Bear” Bapesta (2007)

A year after the Nike Air 180 came out, West designed a shoe with Japanese streetwear label A Bathing Ape or BAPE, which was founded by Nigo in 1993 with highschool friend Jun Takahashi. This icon in street fashion has also done business with Pharell and Jay Z, which makes the partnership with West at home.

The redesigned shoe was BAPE’s version of Air Force 1, but the BAPE shooting star took the place of the swoosh, and APE replaced AIR on the midsole. The Dropout Bear logo was on the heel while the color scheme blended cream, brown, and orange. Much like West’s previous sneaker, this was also a rare pair that fetched over $4000 on StockX.

Reebok S. Carter “Kanye West” Collection (2008)

This relatively unknown release still featured the Dropout Bear on Jay-Z’s S. Carter Reebok shoe. The collection included four pairs of samples made in leather and covered in loud colors. However, these shoes were made for Yeezus only, which made it a forgettable release.

Kanye West x Louis Vuitton (2009)

After covering street fashion, Kanye turned to high fashion by collaborating with Louis Vuitton. His LV collection came in three models that were designed by himself. The first sneaker was a tribute to British musician Benjamin Hudson McIldowie, popularly known as Mr. Hudson, who signed to West’s Good Music label in its early days. The shoe was a fusion of a loafer and a sneaker with tassels on its laces. That creative combination made this footwear a certified head-turner.

Ye x Nike Part 3: Air Yeezy 2 (2012)

The Air Yeezy 2 came three years after the first edition, and it featured the sole of the Nike Air Tech Challenge II. Meanwhile, the shoe’s upper part consists of suede, mesh, and reptile scales. It’s an upgrade of the Air Yeezy 1, which is why it’s the shoe often remembered when West’s stint with Nike comes into the conversation. However, this was Kanye’s last collaboration with Nike, and the departure was heartbreaking. Worst, Nike refused to pay West’s royalties for the Yeezy’s sales.

Sell Sneakers for Cash - 6 Christmas Presents to Get for Sneakerheads in 2019- Guide
Written by Gabriel S. on November 18th 2019
Christmas season is fast approaching, and it’s time to buy gifts for the people that you care about the most. However, you can’t just purchase generic items that they may not appreciate. Because your family members and friends have different interests, spending an entire day at a retail store is not enough. Some of them are into music, while others are crazy for sneakers.

When choosing a gift for sneakerheads, a new pair of Jordans or the latest sneaker from their favorite player is an obvious gift choice. However, if you want something different, below are six alternative gifts that you can give to sneakerheads during the holidays.

1. Sneaker Cleaner

Sneaker enthusiasts are always vain about how their shoes look. They take pride in keeping their sneakers looking new, even though it is a few years old. The best way to support their passion is by giving them a set of sneaker cleaners that can get stains out of any shoe. It’s not a one-size-fits-all solution because different cleaners work best on certain surfaces. Because of this, it’s best to get everything that you can to help them keep their collection immaculate.

2. Aglets

Since sneakerheads pay attention to every detail, high-fashion aglets will boost the beauty of their kicks. This affordable option will usher in a lifestyle-like feel to their basketball sneakers. Aglets are so universal that they are compatible with any shoe and provide a charming accent that balances with the lace.

3. Jerseys

Even if sneakerheads may already have many of these, jerseys complement their beautiful sneakers. It will be best if you provide them with a jersey of their favorite player or team. Bonus style points come with rare jersey variations, as well. This gift option also applies to your friends who love baseball and football. Remember not to give them a jersey of the rival team as well, as this may make for an awkward moment.

4. Beanies and scarf

Since Christmas is synonymous with winter and cold temperatures, beanies are an inexpensive gift that sneakerheads will enjoy. They can match this headgear with sneakers of the same color or team to look cool while attending a game. It also keeps them warm during cold conditions. Meanwhile, giving them a matching scarf will help them deal with the harsh winter better.

5. Socks

Sneakerheads love to expand their sock collection to match colors with their shoes. If you can’t choose one pair, go for several options of different colors so that the recipient will have more patterns to stylize with. If possible, conduct a quick raid of their collection to determine which socks will blend well with their sneakers.

6. Personalized sneakers

If you have money to burn, you can buy standard sneakers, and have it customized to the sneakerhead’s preference. However, this process may take a while to complete, and it may not arrive on time for the Christmas season. You can go for services like Mi Adidas or Nike ID instead to turn the shoes into their masterpiece. Better yet, go to a New Balance outlet and get unique sneakers for as fast as 48 hours.

Buy from a reliable store

If those options are not enough, Sell Sneakers for Cash has an extensive collection of basketball sneakers and casual shoes. They purchase shoes at fair prices and pay sellers on the spot for their kicks.

Looking for new comfortable kicks? Want to sell a pair that didn’t fit as well as you thought it would? Stop by Sell Sneakers for Cash in NY today! Here, you’ll be able to find shoes that go beyond the typical basketball shoe from brands such as Harlems, Louis Vuitton, Astoria, and Yeezy.

Looking for a great pair of sneakers to wear during the summer? If you're on a budget, we've got just the thing for you. With great value for what it offers in comfort and style, these three sneakers are what you should keep in your to-buy list the next time you go out to purchase yourself a pair.

Here are the top three sneakers to wear for summer:

Vans Old Skool

If you've ever grown up in a skating community or just hung out with a bunch of friends that skates, don't be surprised if you catch them wearing a pair of Old Skools. Originally called "Style 36," Vans Old Skool was created in the ‘70s and was born to carry the iconic Vans side stripe. It also showed up in only one color (which we all know and love) in black and white.

Now, everyone wears them because of how awesome they look paired with any pants, shorts, and short skirts. You don't have to worry about them losing style over time either. In fact, a lot of people love the "worn-out" look these pair of shoes get later on. It adds a whole new level of character and personality to the shoe.

Because these shoes are incredibly comfortable, they're perfect for summertime. They're just as breathable, so you won't find your toes sweating. Available at the $60 range, Vans Old Skool is among the most affordable pair of sneakers in the market. It is widely available in most, if not all, shoe stores, so if you want to grab a pair for yourself, you won't have a problem.

Adidas Originals

There are many iterations of the Adidas Originals, but the most iconic is the Adidas Originals Stan Smith. Originally named the Haillet, these Originals were renamed to Stan Smith after Adidas signed a deal with the tennis legend in the 1970s.

Along with the brand's iconic three-striped logo, the Adidas Originals Stan Smiths were initially famous for their performance and durability on the court. Especially in the ‘80s, these shoes were at its utmost hype and worn everywhere.

Today, it comes with different mixes of materials and soles. Many color options are also available, but if you're looking to wear the classic, a white and green combo is what you want. And if you're wondering what you should wear that goes well with the shoes, just wear anything! From long jeans to short pants, these sneakers look great paired with them all.

With that said, if you're looking for something around the $80 range that is extremely comfortable yet stylish, this is the shoe for you. Overall, the Adidas Originals Stan Smith is an affordable shoe that offers a lot in terms of comfort and durability, yet does not cut down in style.

Nike Air Force 1

Of course, we cannot talk about Adidas without talking about Nike, can we? The Nike Air Force 1 is one of, if not the most, recognizable shoes that the company has ever made, so it isn't surprising that almost anywhere you go, there will always be someone wearing it, and you should have one too.

At around the $90 price point, these shoes are slightly pricier than the other options but still very affordable. Because of that, you should definitely have a pair for yourself, especially if you’re into adding your personal touch to the shoe. What do we mean?

Because these shoes are white on white, you can design it to your liking, adding personality to the sneakers. Also, these shoes look better as they age. So much so, in fact, that some people only have them to wear them out! Because of that, you don't have to worry about grabbing a new pair anytime soon. Put simply, the Air Force 1s are great everyday wears you can take around, knowing that it'll only look better the more you use them.

Head over to the nearest shoe store and grab yourself a pair of summertime sneakers. Stay on top of your fashion game, no matter your budget.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - 3 Sneaker Brands Everybody Loves Because of Rappers
Written by Gabriel S. on November 4th 2019
When it comes to tracking influence in the modern world, there’s no denying the fact that Hip Hop plays a vital role as a source of inspiration in culture and art. Although it may only have been around for 40 years since The Sugarhill Gang busted out “Rapper’s Delight,” Hip Hop’s influence has grown exponentially in four decades.

No matter where you look, there’s always going to be something that’s been influenced by Hip Hop in one way or another. Hip Hop, in essence, is a cultural force that reaches far and wide from playing a key role in one of Manhattan’s greatest theatrical productions to comprising the majority of Barack Obama’s playlists.

While Hip Hop itself is a cultural phenomenon of influence, there’s one facet of the legendary genre that bears its own weight of shaping taste and opinion: the rappers that helped build it.

From being able to establish who the GOATs of every sport are to playing a vital role in setting standards of wealth to strive for, rappers are cultural icons that revolutionize culture as well. Out of all the different ways that rappers affect culture and influence people, there’s one particular of our lives that they affect the most: the brands that we wear.

Let’s look at a few brands that rappers love the most, which essentially makes us love them as well:

1. Nike

October’s Very Own, Cactus Jack, The Ten, De La Soul Dunks—do these names sound familiar to you? Yeah, we figured so: they’re all Nike collaborations that are enjoying icon status today with the help of a rapper or three—well, with the exception of Virgil Abloh—but you know the story.

Sans collaborations, Nike is still a cultural institution that wouldn’t have been able to make it this far without the help of a rapper’s influence. You probably have a pair of Triple White Air Force 1s in your closet because Jay-Z made them famous, or a pair of Jordans in the rotation because they’re a staple in every rap icon’s shoe rack. Nike is the perfect example of how impeccable designs (such as Tinker Hatfield’s work) and rap game influence can go a long way.

2. Adidas

Would this list even be valid if we didn’t mention the brand with three stripes?

Adidas holds the bragging rights for having one of if not the earliest examples of a rapper-brand collaboration thanks to their work with RUN-DMC. Not many brands can say that they’ve influenced the rap game as much as it’s been influenced by Hip Hop, effectively making Adidas the granddaddy of Hip-Hop-assisted influence. The very Yeezys that you drool over in your sleep enjoy their sought-after status simply because Kanye West busted out a style revolution with Adidas by his side.

3. Polo Ralph Lauren

Let’s face it: rappers wouldn’t be the style icons they are today without Polo Ralph Lauren, and Polo wouldn’t be what it is today without rappers.

Polo Ralph Lauren’s status as a fashion staple for anyone is the result of a masterplan that dates back to the ‘80s, where a group called the Lo Lifes helped bridge the brand to rappers. A far cry from the lavish lifestyles that today’s rappers flex at every opportunity, the first generation of rappers weren’t the same filthy-rich examples we know of today. In the ‘80s, rappers were dirt poor, had to work at least two jobs on top of performing, and worked the hardest to get the Hip Hop banner flying high into prominence.

The Lo Lifes were notorious for stealing almost a million dollar’s worth of Polo Ralph Lauren but were lauded for their intent in doing so. They wanted to take something that wasn’t for them and made it their own.

This mission instantly had struggling rappers hooked, which then turned Polo Ralph Lauren into a cultural rap icon that rappers across all generations held as a status symbol. Rappers nowadays still live by Polo and die by it as a manner of tradition and respecting history, which is partly why the brand is still alive and kicking—and right in your pile of grails.

Although there are many more names to mention, Nike, Adidas, and Polo Ralph Lauren all fly off the shelves and are all on our backs, on our feet, and in our closets today because of a rapper’s influence. The next time you think about why you’re hyped over the next AJ3 Black Cement release (which you can get from us, by the way) or why you can never let go of your Polo Cap, make sure to thank a rapper.

Sell Sneakers for Cash - Our Guide to Taking Care of your Nike Air Force 1's - Guide
Written by Gabriel S. on October 28th 2019
The Nike Air Force 1 continues to be the talk of the sneaker world 27 years after it was initially released. Its simplistic appeal captivates basketball fans and sneakerheads alike, making it one of the top-selling shoes that Nike has ever produced.

The AF1's aesthetic translates outside basketball as its high cut version is staple footwear for urban fashion. You can even pair the white ones with any attire to achieve a stylish summer outfit. What started as a shoe preferred by inner-city youth is now immortalized through songs by hip-hop artists Nelly and Kanye West.

The ample surface area of this Nike classic inspired creative individuals to play around with its design. This experiment resulted in over 1,700 color variations of which have been produced to pull an annual revenue of around $800 million. However, as iconic as the Air Force 1 is, it can get easily destroyed with improper use.

To help keep your shoes lasting for many years, follow the maintenance tips below to do so.

Use a shoe tree and clean them thoroughly

A shoe tree retains the sneaker's shape longer, prevents creases, and holds off moisture to maintain the shoe's best look.
At the same time, you can keep your sneakers clean by using the different cleaning brands available like Jason Markk, Crep Protect, and Pink Miracle. If you don't have a huge budget, you can scrub the Air Force 1 with soap foam and remove them with wet wipes. Spraying water repellent spray protects it from moisture that can tarnish its beauty.

Dirty sneakers are also a reflection of your personality. You won't attract many conversations at a party if you can't even keep your shoes clean. Gucci might have created dirty sneakers for rugged fashion, but it's not a leeway to follow suit with your Air Force 1's.

Never use the AF1 for running

As gorgeous as the Air Force 1 is, it is not the best shoe for running or jogging because it creases quickly. If you allow the crease to reach the front of the kicks, or you'll need to buy a new pair immediately. Treat the AF1 as a fashion shoe that you occasionally wear because it's not on par with new basketball sneakers anymore. Buy multiple pairs if your budget permits and match the colors with your outfit.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - 3 Most Comfortable Sneakers in the Market Today
Written by Gabriel S. on October 21st 2019
Sneakers are not created equal because some of them are more comfortable than others. However, they are the most feet-friendly shoes because they allow you to move better, and their designs are suitable for any preference.

When looking for the comfiest sneaker, pay attention to how your feet roll while running or walking. This process is called pronation, and people with low arches tend to collapse their foot arch inward excessively. In contrast, those with high arches do the opposite. Your pronation type will determine which sneakers are comfortable for you and the needed cushion for arch support.

Important elements of comfortable sneakers

The right amount of arch support makes every step comfier. You'll need much of it via structured cushions if you have a low foot arch. Meanwhile, the cushion provided absorbs the impact that you make on every step. It comes in different forms, and one of the more popular is the memory foam, which hugs your foot as you move. People with high-arching feet must wear sneakers with much cushioning, especially in the heel.

Comfortable sneakers also feature a breathable mesh that works best for sweaty feet. Likewise, traction is essential in keeping you upright and prevents slips that can cause injuries.

Considering these factors, here are the comfiest sneakers available in the market today.

1. Adidas Cloudfoam Qt Racer Sneaker

True to its name, this $52 sneaker will make you feel as if you are walking on clouds. You can experience superior cushioning through its foam midsole and outsole while the shoe is flexible enough to provide a great fit. The mesh of this lightweight shoe allows the feet to breathe while the rubber sole provides reliable traction. This Adidas sneaker is the most comfortable shoe in terms of overall performance, and it comes in 20 different colors to fit any personal style. The Cloudfoam Qt Racer works well for individuals with high-arching feet.

2. TIOSEBON Athletic Walking Sneakers

Don't be fooled by the low price because this crowd favorite provides ample arch support, fantastic breathability, and excellent traction. These lightweight, slip-on sneakers come in 30 different colors with each pair costing $30. This budget-friendly, comfortable sneaker has a 4.4 rating on Amazon despite having over 4,300 reviews.

3. Nike Roshe One Trainers

The Roshe One is comfortable for everyday use and will still look stylish even if you wear it without socks. Its mesh provides wonderful ventilation for the feet, and its cushion makes walking or running look easy. The Roshe One does have arch support but not as much as the other two. This sleek offering from Nike comes in white, black, metallics, and color pattern variations. It's more expensive than the first two sneakers at $75 per pair. However, you are purchasing a shoe that you can wear anywhere. Like the TIOSEBON, this Nike sneaker also has a 4.4 rating on Amazon.

Walk comfortably with more money

Whether for intense exercise or light activity, the three sneakers mentioned above will provide the comfort that you need. Why punish your feet with unreliable shoes when you can purchase these stylish and lightweight sneakers from your trusted shoe seller online. Once you have used your new kicks, do not hesitate to leave a positive review about the seller.

Sell Sneaker For Cash - 4 Reasons Chunky Trainers Will Remain Trendy - Our Guide
Written by Gabriel S. on October 14th 2019
Though once deemed as embarrassing shoes, chunky trainers are the new trends among millennials of today! In the fashion world, old styles always seem to make a comeback, looking more hip and modern. This time, the chunky trainers have found their way back in style.

Now, fashion and apparel companies have been competing for head to head for many years to create the chunkiest sneaker of them all. From adding striking visuals to adding more "meat" to the shoe, it seems as if the fight is going to last for quite a long time.

Here are four reasons why chunky trainers will not die out anytime soon:

1. They stand out from the crowd

A millennial's worst nightmare is to blend in with the crowd. They'd do whatever it takes to make sure that they're different from the rest, to show that they're unique. However, how do they achieve this? With chunky trainers, of course!

There has never been a time where being unique is as vital as it is today, all thanks to ads, social media, and other entertainment channels. Companies have taken notice of this trend and are pumping out trainers of all kinds. If you see anyone walking around with these trainers, you know they're in it for looks and for not the functionality.

2. They look weirdly good

The trend is not to follow the trend. Confused? We're saying the uglier and weirder the trainers look, the more unique and praised it is. Although mocked by the crowd when it first came out, the "ugliness" of these trainers had drawn so much attention that, all of a sudden, it became something that everyone wanted. They believed that the type of chunky trainers they wear reflect their unique characteristics and personality.

3. They bring feelings of nostalgia

It's not surprising that while today's trend is heading towards a sleeker and sexier design, some long for the appeals of old devices. People choose analog watches over digital ones, and some people would rather drive a manual car over an automatic one. Although they have their reasons, nostalgia plays a huge part in them all. When some people remember the past, they often think about the 90s. Now, they can live it, with chunky trainers!

4. They are on high demand

What is more effective at keeping a product trendy than simply being wanted by everyone? As companies rile up and hype the crowd for chunky trainers, so do the demands increase for such shoes. As customers thirst for more shoes, companies satisfy them by creating their own unique shoes in an attempt to cater to everyone, and that's not all! Because of the nature of these chunky trainers, companies can unleash their creativity into the shoes without any restraints.

What started out as something that looked utterly unpleasant to the eyes and unfashionable, is now enjoying praise from customers around the globe. Whatever you feel about chunky trainers, they're here to stay for many years to come. With the will to feel unique, consumers aren't going to stop purchasing these shoes anytime soon.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - Why Sneakers Remain to Be the Hottest Thing in Fashion
Written by Gabriel S. on October 7th 2019
For many years, fashion brands have been investing much of their time and money on creating the best casual footwear for their customers, with an emphasis on sneakers. Top-tier brands like Gucci, Prada, and Balenciaga have also turned their attention to this footwear for growth. Now, they're even competing with other well-known giants like Nike, Puma, and Adidas, giving rise to more striking and expensive designs.

That said, are sneakers merely a pop culture ready to die any moment once the craze dies down, or are they here to stay for long? Keep on reading to find out more.

Are sneakers just pop-up trends over-hyped and ready to die?
The volatile world of footwear will always be a hotspot for seasonal trends attracting customers who want to be kept up-to-date with the latest fashion trends. However, the majority of the sneakers that are currently in the markets are here to stay. This is, for the most part, due to the high demand from most women who prioritize comfort over style. At the same time, sneakers are becoming a norm even in the professional world, replacing formal and uncomfortable shoes.

The introduction of sneakers into the workplace has, in turn, pushed many companies to turn this sporty footwear into something a little more laid-back and formal. Gone are the striking and bold designs that were used in the past. Nowadays, simple training shoes are showing up with "luxury materials, hand-crafted with love using the finest leather." Now, they even come with "gentle colors and elegant details for a touch of femininity." With these changes happening, the sneaker is gaining its fame in countries across the world as companies rethink their workplace dress codes.

What’s the point of owning high-end sneakers?
Don't get us wrong; there's absolutely nothing wrong with going out to buy an affordable pair of sneakers, especially if you can't purchase an expensive one. In fact, there are excellent sneakers that are available in the market today that won’t require you to break the bank. However, if you're the type of person who takes much pride in what you wear, then you should consider grabbing a high-end pair. You'll walk around proud and confident, knowing that you have the best that money can buy. Although many will start to envy at your purchase decision, remind yourself that you did it to feel good before you do the same for others.

On the other hand, it doesn’t seem likely that Gucci's insane jeweled trainers, Balenciaga's chunky dad sneakers, or any other extreme style of sneaker will out-last the hype. Many of these high-end sneakers, like Louis Vuitton's Archlight, have seemed to die down as quickly as it was hyped up. However, it should come to no surprise that, for the majority of sneakers that are available in the market, they are likely here to stay.

That said, many brands will continue competing, developing, and innovating to pump out sneakers to boost their sales. As a result, you are given more choices for your choosing.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - How the Yeezy Reflective Saved the Yeezy Line - Sneakers 101
Written by Gabriel S. on September 15th 2019
The Yeezy line up has gone through many hurdles. They showed up as a hit, died down, came back to the market, and then the craze died down again. It has been a wild rollercoaster ride for the Yeezy line and for those looking to purchase a pair for themselves. If you're on the market in search of a pair, they're now back with a bang, thanks to the new Yeezy Reflective.

Before and After The Yeezy Reflective

In 2015, the Yeezy line ups were the talk of the town. It was the most coveted line of shoes and rewarded its creators with a considerable sum of cash. However, in 2018, though it seemed as if this sought after pair of shoes by many people, they lost interest immediately. Then, in December of the same year, Kanye West broke the Yeezy code, bringing it back to life.

Features

There isn't any feature that is exclusive to the Yeezy Reflective. They offer as much as the previous 350 V2s did, keeping the same silhouette looks plus a translucent mesh stripe without the SPLY-350 text at the sides. However, none of these is new, as the non-reflective lines of Yeezys all have the mesh. Even the SPLY-350 text isn't included in Yeezys pass the first generation. If you recall, the previous Yeezy Cream whites, 350 V2 Butter, and Sesame all did not have the SPLY branding and still did well in the market.

The Yeezys Reflective didn't have anything new to offer, although they do now come with new colorways, such as Static, Black, Synth, Lundmark, and Antlia. However, what saved the line is hype. Hype kept the Yeezys line and may have even rescued the Adidas Yeezys partnership.

Stocks

The real reason why the Yeezys line is so exciting is the stock level. Over the years, Adidas and Kanya strayed away from the idea of exclusivity, hurting the shoe's popularity. Fortunately, knowing that the new Yeezys Reflectives are very limited, this sparked a fire in the souls of shoe enthusiasts and any customer looking to get their hands on a pair. With word around that only 5000 pairs will be sold, the basic supply and demand rule works in its favor.

It is this exclusivity that has driven prices upwards of one thousand dollars, putting the Yeezys line back in the race.

Adidas and Yeezy

Adidas' current plan with the Yeezy Reflective is much different from previous years. With last year's motto being "Yeezys for everyone," the entire Yeezys community was torn to pieces.

Those who couldn't afford a pair was very pleased with the increase in stock. For the resellers, they weren't too happy just watching their investments drop to dust. Fortunately, Adidas has learned from their mistakes and is now back in the game of exclusives. Adidas now relies on the hype rather than sales, which is proving to be very successful.

If you're on the hunt for a pair of Yeezy Reflective, you better purchase one fast. With such a limited amount, its retail price of $220 isn't going to hold forever.

Sell Sneakers for Cash - Canvas Sneakers 101 - How to Choose and Wear Them
Written by Gabriel S. on September 8th 2019
Of the things that comprise a show-stopping outfit, the most important part of it is definitely the shoes on your feet. It doesn’t matter if you have the perfect dress shirt on, or if you’re sporting the best trousers money can buy. Nothing can make or break a whole outfit like a good pair of shoes.

If you recognize the importance of shoes and their role in tying an outfit together, congratulations. That puts you far ahead of the people out there who are still struggling with their style. However, when buying the right pair of shoes, it’s easy to get confused and frustrated because of how many options you have when it comes to styles, materials, and brands.

The sneaker conundrum has affected millions of people. They may find it hard to buy the perfect pair, especially if they need to shift between work and play on the daily. From tasseled loafers to pumped-up kicks, you have plenty of options even if you’re on a tight budget. But there’s one kind of shoe that you can never go wrong with: canvas sneakers.

Why canvas sneakers are a solid option
Although the classic dress shoe can earn you major style points, and a solid pair of Nikes are a buzzworthy choice, nothing gets the job done like a solid pair of canvas sneakers. When worn properly, canvas sneakers can add to the appeal of your entire outfit, especially if you’re toeing the line between casual and smart casual. As great as they might be, however, there’s still one concern that comes with canvas sneakers: how do you choose and wear a pair?

Canvas sneakers 101
In order to make sure that you can make a fashion statement worth posting as an #OOTD on Instagram, here are a few rules that you need to follow when choosing and wearing canvas sneakers:

1. Go for neutral colours
When buying a pair of canvas sneakers, it’s important to know that the only way to wear them with any outfit is to go for a color that goes with everything. Black, white, and grey (or even a light red or baby blue) can be paired easily with other pieces in your closet, so it’s best to get canvas sneakers that come in those colors.

2. High cut or low cut?
Certain canvas sneakers, such as Converse’s Chuck Taylors, come in high and low cut options. That makes the range of possibilities much wider than ever before. When going with high cut canvas sneakers, it’s important to note that they’re best worn with pants, unless you’re willing to push the envelope. But if you’re looking for a versatile pair you can wear anytime, anywhere, then low cut canvas sneakers are definitely the way to go.

3. Keep them clean
Legend has it that the style and appeal of canvas sneakers lie in their cleanliness, and that’s definitely spot on. While canvas sneakers may be light, comfortable, stylish, and easy to wear, the problem with them is they get dirty easily. Luckily, they’re easier to clean than any other type of shoe because they can be tossed in the washing machine. After that, they’ll be good as new.

4. Know what you’re dressing for
Canvas sneakers can be paired with slacks and a coat if you’re going to an event or something that calls for a smart casual outfit. However, if you’re going to a black tie event or anything that has a formal dress code, it’s best to ditch the sneaks and go for a pair of dress shoes instead.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - Up for Black Yeezys - Prepare for New Models Now!
Written by Gabriel S. on September 1st 2019
It's been almost four years since Adidas Yeezy footwear has been introduced to the market, worn and made famous by Kanye West. The year 2018 has been the most successful year for Kanye and the Yeezy line, given the number of units sold that year. This 2019, however, you can expect more colorways and designs from this subsidiary of the German sportswear brand.

Now, when it comes to colorways of the Adidas Yeezy footwear, black is said to be the most requested color by fans. This year, however, Kanye has some good news. Three new black Yeezys are out in the market, starting May 26th, 2019. Listed below the first three that have been released in the market. That is not to ignore as well the previous black Yeezy units that continue to make waves up to this day. Keep on reading to explore.

Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Black

After four long years since the Pirate Blacks, the brand was pleased to announce the release of the new all-black Yeezys last June. Topping the list is Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Black. This is the pair fans are most excited about – bringing back Yeezys from the dead.

This pair clings to the unique Primeknit pattern and the see-through mesh stripe panel. It follows the footsteps of 2015's Pirate Black. Similar to the previous black Yeezys, this new version uses red stripe across the heel-tab. Two versions are said to have been released. So get ready to go head-to-head with all those Yeezy fans!

Yeezy 700 Utility Black

True enough, it's black for every Yeezy this season. The Yeezy 700 Utility Black is the same with the 700 V2 and 350 V2 – it is getting all blacked-out. It is said to be Kanye's third pair of sneakers with a "Utility Black" colorway.

This model has been released on June 29th. This pair has the monochromatic colorway and a combination of material which highlights the aesthetic of the shoes. The uppers are made up of mesh, black suede, and black leather. The silhouette sits on top of Boost cushioning covered by the classic gum outsoles.

Yeezy 700 V2 Vanta

An all-new, all-dark Yeezy 700 V2 was set to drop on May 26th, this year. It was only logical that the 700s also get a dark edition, given a new Triple Black 350 V2 dropping out in the market.

This pair offers a mixture of leather, suede, and mesh for the uppers. The color scheme is a gradient going from white to dusty grey, keeping the whole shoe dark. You can get hold of a pair of Vantas, granted you have the skills and knowledge, and a powerful sneaker bot that can do the job.

Previous Releases of Black Yeezys

Looking back at the Adidas Yeezy partnership, it's worth mentioning some other pairs of sneakers. There always has been an excess of earthy tonal sneakers. Kanye would drop a beige, then brown followed by a grey Yeezy. It was quite rare to see bold colorways such as the Zebras or even some all-black Yeezys.

For the past four years, fans have only gotten to see three completely Black Yeezys. It's worth-mentioning other units, such as the Yeezy Pirate Black, Yeezy Boost 750 Triple Black, and Yeezy Powerphase Calabasas. Let's not forget as well the likes of Yeezy 500 Utility Black and Black Yeezys 2016.

To that end, Kanye and Adidas have been busy creating. The season is still young, and you'll have plenty of new Yeezys from which you can choose. Soon enough, you have to see more for yourself! Get a grip now of the latest all-black models that are out in the market!

Sell Sneakers for Cash - Tips on Buying Comfortable Sneakers for Wide Feet
Written by Gabriel S. on August 25th 2019
Among all the shoe trends this year, sneakers have stayed as the standout, and it’s one style that remains a consistent trend no matter the season. It is not farfetched considering it’s such a versatile and fashion-forward approach with the way it quickly punches up even the most regular of looks.

The rise of athleisure has skyrocketed this sartorial piece and has been a massive part of streetwear culture ever since its introduction. However, nothing is worse than sporting shoes that are too tight for your feet.

Many people struggle with this as most tend to rely on shoe size only, leaving no consideration for the width of their feet. In that regard, since sneakers have been leaving footmarks in the world of casual fashion, it’s no surprise how men and women with wider-than-average feet want to get a kick at being part of the sneaker game.

On that note, this article is here to prove that the right fit for you is available off-the-rack from notable brands like New Balance, Nike, Skechers, and ASICS.

Not to mention, many brands are tailoring their shoes to all feet sizes, crossing the word limited out in the shoe industry’s dictionary. To that end, we’re here to let you in the club with these tips that can help you find the ideal pair.

Tip #1: Be Mindful of the Fabric or Material Used

Not all shoes offer the same fit or give, and how it will conform to your feet will typically depend on the fabric or material used. For instance, soft leathers and suede tend to fit better than patent leathers as the coating from the latter material keeps it from stretching. For sneakers, a shoe stretching spray may work to help break in the material until it molds perfectly according to your feet. Keep in mind that it’s in your best interest to patch test it first to prevent discoloration.

Tip #2: Choose Wider Toe-Box Shoe Designs than Pointy Styles

Shoes that have a wider toe-box essentially means your toes have more room to breathe. For example, the Nike SB Dunk Lows provides enough space to comfortably hug wider feet sizes compared to the sock-like construction of an Adidas Ultraboost.

Tip #3: Choose Sneakers with a Closure System

There are many brands that design sneakers with either laces or velcro straps in T-strap styles, both of which are beneficial to those with wide feet. This is such because it provides the option to adjust the width, enabling you to reach a fit that is comfortable for your feet.

Tip #4: Look for Sneakers with Removable Linings and Insoles

Help your feet reach its desired wiggle room by picking sneakers that offer more flexibility, either through removable linings or insoles.

How to Know if You Have Wide Feet

Shoes that are too tight can be a waste of a perfectly good pair as it can have detrimental effects on your feet - either through constant pain from blisters or even warping your feet’s shape if it is left unattended for an extended period. For that reason, it’s essential to check the width of your feet, and you can do so with these simple steps:

First, you have to know the different width measurements, which go from super narrow (AAA), A, B, C, D, E, EE, and EEE being the widest. EE-width shoes typically measure between 3.4 and 5.4 inches. The next step is to place a piece of paper on a flat, even surface and step on it.

Trace an outline of your foot using a pen and pencil and record the measurements. With that in hand, you can move forward by searching the net for a shoe-sizing chart.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - Indispensable Tips for a Sneaker Release Campout
Written by Gabriel S. on August 18th 2019
Despite the extensive use of the internet and social media raffles, camping out for a sneaker release is still a thing today. The tried and tested “first come, first served” basis to get a pair of new sneakers on the release day is still alive.

To ordinary, uninterested people, camping out and lining up outside the store for a sneaker may sound crazy. However, for die-hard fans, it’s worth the little sacrifice.

If you are thinking about participating in this age-old concept and experience that exhilarating feeling as you stay up on the streets the night before, here are some indispensable tips you should remember:

1. Get release details ahead of time

Don’t wait for the release date to come before you go to the store. You need to plan ahead and get as much information as you can about the release. How many pairs will be released in that store? Is there a specific area designated for the line? When is the earliest time you can go there to line up? Will they be releasing a wristband or giving out a number? Knowing as many details as you will help you save time and increase your chances of getting a guaranteed pair.

2. Make friends or bring some friends with you

It’s an excellent place to get to know your fellow sneaker enthusiasts. While you might be competing against each other in guaranteeing that you get a pair of new sneakers, making friends with the people next in line can also be of help. For one, you won’t be bored because you’ll have someone to talk to, and small talks today can lead to valuable connections in the future.

Alternatively, you can also rally your friends to help you with the campout. You’ll have someone you can rely on to secure your spot while you run to get a quick snack or when you need to go to the bathroom.

3. Wear comfortable clothes

Dress comfortably and based on the weather. You will be out for the whole night, and it is likely to be cold. Check the weather if it is going to rain, what the possible temperature, and wear comfortable shoes as well.

4. Bring the right supplies

Bring food, water, and other supplies that will make your campout comfortable. It’s a vital part of camping out. Bring a lawn chair and a blanket, and don’t forget to pack your credit card or debit card, your phone and charger or extra batteries, cash, energy drink or coffee, and something to entertain you, such as books or a music player.

Conclusion

Being prepared for a sneaker release campout is a must if you want to have a great experience and obtain that new pair of shoes. Do some research so you will know what else to expect. Learn from the experience of others or even from your previous campout.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - How to Clean Your Jordans Properly - Our Guide
Written by Gabriel S. on August 11th 2019
Have you bought a new pair of sneakers and are obsessed about keeping it in the state of perfection? Some people are so concerned about keeping their shoes clean that they won’t even risk wearing them. However, if you have these same concerns, fear no more! Although some people toss their shoes into the washing machine, this isn’t how you shoe-lovers should treat your shoes.

Cleaning Jordan Sneakers
Have you bought yourself a unique pair of Jordans? That, by some, is considered a significant investment.

Here are tips to help you clean and maintain the sneakers that you’re so proud of:

Simple Wipe Down
Never clean your sneakers under running water, as you might risk detaching the sole from the shoe. Use a damp cloth instead. Squeeze the fabric so there isn’t additional water that could end up soaking into the shoes. Make sure the material isn’t harsh either. If you need a bit more of cleaning power, use a drop of dish soap and use it wipe your entire sneaker.

Removing Stubborn Dirt
If you’re dealing with dirt that won’t come off, mix oxygen paste and water. Whitening toothpaste (non-gel) also works as an oxygen paste. Rub it on the area and wipe away. These will work very effectively to clean and whiten the soles of your shoes.

With Great Whitening Comes Great Responsibility
If you want to whiten your soles, Seaglow is a handy product to use. However, put extreme care that it won’t go anywhere else than where it is intended. Seaglow can stain your whole shoe if not careful. If you do want to use Seaglow, use a paintbrush to assist you. Apply the liquid with the paintbrush carefully and leave under the sun to dry for no more than three hours; any longer and your shoes might split from your soles. Once your soles are white, wipe off the liquid using a damp, non-abrasive cloth. Just make sure that your Seaglow-tainted fabric will not touch any other part of your shoe.

Cleaning Jordan Suede

Cleaning a suede sneaker can be a bit more complicated than a typical sneaker, but we’ll get you through the process.

Do a Test
Be very careful, as dyed suede sneakers can bleed when wet. Test them out first with a light-colored damp cloth and check for any smudges of color.

Use a Soft Brush
Ideally, you have a suede cleaning brush. It contains softer bristles than standard boot brushes. Start by gently rubbing down on the surface to remove dirt. Continue the process by dampening your suede brush and applying a suede cleaner. Wet it once more and shake to remove excess moisture, and use a cloth to remove even more moisture if necessary. Then, scrub your entire suede sneaker on the surface with the brush. Repeat this step until you are satisfied.

Dry it Well
After the brushing stage, the shoe is ready to be dried. Grab a microfiber towel and quickly wipe down the footwear in a twisting motion. This will help dry the shoe as well as revive the material. Repeat until satisfied then leave the shoe to dry for one to two hours.

Wiping while Drying
To keep your suede texture alive, grab a brush, and rub it against your shoe back and forth. Make sure you pay attention and don’t skimp out. Doing this over the drying period several times will let you achieve the most desirable suede cleaning outcome.

Stopping Creases from Forming
Creasing is inevitable. No matter how well you care for your shoe, creasing will ruin your day. There are a few things you can do to prevent creases (or at least slow it down) from forming, such as making sure you bought a shoe that fits you perfectly. Keeping your footwear dry also helps avoid creasing. A water-repellent coating can help you in such a case. If you need more information, there are videos out there that specifically help you deal with creases.

Whether you bought yourself a thousand dollar shoes, or want to keep your dress shoes ready for the next occasion, it doesn’t hurt to follow the steps mentioned above. Keep your shoe game in tip-top condition. The next time you roll out of your home rocking your favorite Jordans, you will surely catch everyone’s eyes.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - Sneakers to Get For Working Out - Our Guide
Written by Gabriel S. on August 5th 2019
When doing a workout, wearing just about any shoe won’t work. You need to use a pair that’s appropriate for the type of workout activity you’ll be doing. If you have no idea of the types of shoes you should wear, you will find this list helpful.

Allbirds Runner - without socks

Almost all types of exercises involve sweating. However, no one wants to have a soggy stinky pair of socks after an hour or more of physical activity. To get around this problem, a startup sneaker brand called Allbirds created a breathable shoe that you can wear even without socks. Allbirds’ Runner shoe line, made initially from merino wool, is already known to be a type of breathable fabric. However, the startup’s commitment to sustainability has pushed them to produce a new textile made from eucalyptus pulp as a substitute for merino wool. Regardless if it’s made of merino wool or a eucalyptus derivative, a pair of Allbirds Runner is your best bet to keep your feet cool without the dampness and athlete’s foot.

Reebok Crossfit Grace, precisely, for Crossfit

Whether you’re a man, woman, the pastel elegance of the Reebok Crossfit Grace will not fail to impress you. However, the shoe model has a practical advantage to it as well. When you’re engaged in the jumps, lifts, and aerobic exercises that come with Crossfit, you will need a pair of shoes that is steady yet flexible and lightweight. The Reebok Crossfit Grace is all these since the manufacturer designed this sneaker line for that fitness regimen.

Specialized Ember for Indoor cycling

The Reebok Crossfit Grace, as well as Specialized Ember, was originally designed and intended for women. But as long as your foot fits this shoe, it doesn’t matter what your gender is, especially if you cycle indoors. You might have chosen indoor cycling because you might find the great outdoors too overwhelming, or you want to learn how to ride a bike without falling. Specialized Ember has cleats on its outsoles that will keep your feet’s grip on the pedals. The footbed of this model is also designed to provide pedaling comfort and support. It has easily adjustable straps that cyclists can maneuver even when they’re riding.

Under Armour Threadborne Push for aerobic dancing

Aerobic dancing involves much jumping and bouncing. You will need a pair of shoes that can boost your body up yet can endure the load of repetitive heavy bounces. The trademarked Charged Cushioning of Under Armour Threadborne Push gives you that needed push. On the other hand, the sturdy rubber that lines the Under Armour Threadborne Push provides this shoe with its durability.

Since aerobic dancing also has many sudden movements, you need to have a pair of shoes that allows you to move from one set of steps to the next seamlessly. The webbing material that forms the shoes’ upper lets your feet move toward any direction, smoothly and lightly. Because of the material used in the making of this shoe, most people find the Under Armour Threadborne Push convenient for their aerobic gym sessions.

Adidas Outdoor Terrex Agravic Speed for trail running

When you’re going out on a trail running, you are prone to meet many hazards along the way. The rains can turn your path into a muddy muck, and you can get stuck or slip with your face hitting the ground first. However, your running track could still be uncooperative even during the dry season as the dust and debris could get stuck in your shoes. Sudden turns while running could also cause blisters to form on your feet.

With the Adidas Outdoor Terrex Agravic Speed, you would have none of these problems in your trail running. It’s designed and tested to endure whatever nature could throw on your path. Its midsole gives your feet the push-back it needs to sustain your speed without too much pressure. The treads on its outsole give you traction as you run while keeping out dust and debris that can hurt your feet.

Sell Sneakers for Cash - Cost-Effective Ways to Stretch Out Tight Shoes - Our Sneaker Guide
Written by Gabriel S. on July 28th 2019
One of the biggest heartbreaks that you could ever face when finding the shoes of your dreams is that it doesn’t come in your size at all. It’s even worse when the salesperson tells you that the last pair in your size just sold out an hour ago. Some people turn to online shoe shopping. Although this allows you to access many more styles and sizes, finding the shoe of your dreams online and having it shipped to you can also lead to sizing issues.

Whether you purchase shoes at your local shop or online, there is one solution that you may want to consider if the size available is slightly smaller than your actual size: stretching. While it might sound outrageous, the truth is that stretching shoes has been a common practice for as long as modern humanity can remember — you just haven’t been looking hard enough.

Wait, there’s a right way to stretch out shoes?
Yes, there actually is a way to properly stretch out your shoes, pain-free! As compared to rationalizing your purchase of a pair that’s half a size too small with the general knowledge of shoes stretching out and loosening over years of use, knowing about the most effective methods to stretch out your shoes safely doesn’t mean having to blister up your feet.

Thanks to several tried-and-tested methods, pinching out your feet and bearing the pain until your shoe’s upper finally loosens to a point where you’re comfortable is no longer a prerequisite. In fact, there are methods that don’t require you to wear tight shoes at all. With the right steps, you can modify the width of your shoes to be more accommodating; that being said, it’s important to understand that you CAN’T change anything about the length of a shoe.

How to stretch your shoes for less
With the help of proper stretching methods, you’ll never have to miss out on another opportunity to cop your dream shoe ever again, even if it’s a size too small. You won’t even have to spend extra money on a shoe stretcher!

Let’s take a look at two cost-effective shoe stretching methods:

THE BLOW DRYER METHOD
The more common out of the two methods is the blow dryer method, which is actually the most simple and least labor-intensive method that you can try to stretch out a pair that’s a tad bit too small. However, this method is best used for leather shoes as compared to other types of materials that are synthetic in nature, as heat works best with leather in terms of loosening the upper part of your shoe up. Here’s how you can stretch your shoes with a blow dryer:

First things first, put on your shoes: this helps ensure that the leather top won’t be stretched out too much or too little.
Cover your feet by wearing two pairs of thick socks to ensure that you don’t burn yourself in the process.

Place the blow dryer about six to eight inches away from your shoes and feet and apply medium heat for a period of not more than 30 seconds while moving the nozzle back and forth between different spots to evenly distribute heat for a better fit.
Repeat until the fit is comfortable.

THE FREEZER METHOD
Following the concept of water expanding when it turns to ice, the freezer method also applies to shoes with synthetic uppers by expanding the fibers a bit and slightly stretching the width of the shoe. To effectively use the freezer to make sure your shoes fit right, you’ll have to follow these simple instructions:

Take a sandwich-size Ziploc bag (or any sealable sandwich bag) and fill a third of it with water, securing it tightly. Before anything else, gently squeeze the bag to ensure that there are no holes where the water can drip out of. After ensuring that it’s leak-proof, place your water-filled sandwich baggie in your shoe and mold it down to the toe area (don’t be lazy and just slap it in and leave it on the heel!). Place the shoes in a freezer and wait for the water to freeze. Once the water has turned into ice, take the shoe out and wait for it to thaw before putting it on. Repeat the process until you get the right fit.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - How to Clean Your Sneakers Without Damaging Them
Written by Gabriel S. on July 21st 2019
We all want to have a fresh pair of kicks to wear every day, but as we all know, the cleaning process can be confusing and difficult. No one wants to damage their shoes, but if you don’t know how to clean them, it’s only a matter of time before your beloved sneakers become faded or ripped.

Therefore, it’s important that you learn how to take proper care of your shoes. If you’re looking for tips on how to clean your sneakers, look no further than this guide we prepared for you:

1. Cleaning Mesh

Mesh is a manufacturing technique that sacrifices durability and longevity for weight, which is why it’s such a popular option for running shoes. However, mesh is notorious for being difficult to clean, as you can't use a regular shoe brush to get the job done because it can rip a hole in the mesh.

The first thing you need to do when cleaning mesh is to remove the dirt stains and other marks from the mesh with a damp cloth. If there are still some stains that you can’t get rid of, you will need to make a mild cleaning solution. Mix one part baking soda with one part of white vinegar, then apply it to the stains on your shoes and leave it to dry for 15 minutes. Once the solution is completely dry, you will need to come in with a used toothbrush (or any brush with damp, soft bristles) and go over the stains in a gentle, circular motion.

2. Cleaning Synthetic Leather

Synthetic leather is usually used in fashion sneakers, as the material is light and durable, but is much cheaper than real leather. One problem with synthetic leather is that it’s highly susceptible to discoloration, drying out, and flaking. For this reason, it’s imperative that you keep the surface of synthetic leather moist with oil to give it a shiny waterproof surface.

When you’re looking to clean synthetic leather, the most important thing you need to keep in mind is that it’s quite easy to scratch the surface of the material. You can use a microfiber cloth to clean synthetic leather. One good thing about synthetic leather is that you can use powerful cleaning solutions on it to get rid of any stains. However, you should choose one that’s not too acidic, or it will damage the appearance of the shoes.

3. Cleaning Knitted Shoes

Knitted shoes are by far the most fragile sneakers out there, as they are designed to be soft, comfortable, and flexible to fit any motion. For this reason, you need to avoid any type of brush, as bristles can puncture the fabric, which will lead to more significant wear and tear. You will need to use soft cloths, preferably those made of silk or synthetic fibers, to clean the surface of the knit. First, dip the cloth in cold water, twist it dry, then rub it on a bar of soap. Gently rub the soapy cloth on the dirty area until the stain comes off.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - Three Ways to Lace Your Sneakers - Our Guide
Written by Gabriel S. on July 14th 2019
Who doesn't love to sport a pair of sneakers? Chances are you'll don your fresh kicks and match them with the perfect outfit, which will make you look absolutely sleek and stylish from head to toe. The right pair of sneakers can help you get around, whether you are strolling down the street during the day or heading off to a club for a night out with your friends.

But here's the thing: every detail counts. This also applies to your footwear. When it comes to your sneakers, one aspect that you shouldn't ignore is how to make your shoelaces pop or stand out. Luckily, you can tie your shoelaces in ways that will make your sneakers look edgy.

Lacing your shoes can be done in many ways for both aesthetic and functional reasons. You can tie your shoelaces in certain ways that will allow you to express your individuality and unleash your creativity. But if you're clueless as to how you can do that, here are some tips on how to lace up your sneakers:

Straight Lacing

Straight lacing is a casual, clean, and refreshing way to lace your shoes. It is sometimes called 'fashion lacing' or 'street lacing.' As the name suggests, it is suitable for street fashion because it is comfortable and convenient. With its loose lacing style, this gives your feet room to breathe. Below are the steps you should follow if you want to go for the straight lacing style:

Start with an equal amount of lace on each side of the bottom eyelet.
Your left lace should go straight up the inside of the shoe to the second eyelet, then straight across. Do the same with your right lace but to the third eyelet this time.
Repeat steps two and three, alternating between the right and left laces. Make sure to skip their respective eyelets inside the shoe before running straight across to the next eyelet.Continue this pattern until you’re done. Finish with a regular knot.

Ladder Lacing

Ladder lacing is a unique and distinctive style. This ladder design weaves laces together horizontally across the top of the shoe and vertically around each eyelet. It was originally created for military boots worn by ceremonial guards. To use the ladder lacing style on your sneakers, follow the steps below:

You lace straight across through the bottom eyelets.
Run each lace into the second eyelet directly above by going straight up the outside of the shoe. Feed each lace straight across to the opposite side, then wrap it under the lace and the second eyelet, before continuing up to the next eyelet directly above.
Repeat the same process. Make sure to send the laces straight across, under the adjacent lace and eyelet, before stringing it up to the next open eyelet until finished.
Take the laces back across and under a final time for a consistent look before tying a bow knot.

Spider Web Lacing

Spider web lacing is a guaranteed show stopper. This design is a detailed and intricate lacing style. It weaves an elaborate web formed by the laces going back and forth across the top of the shoe. If you want to use this lacing style on your sneakers, you have to follow the steps below:

Begin by lacing straight across the second-from-the-bottom eyelets and make sure each end is even. Then slip each end down the outside of the shoe to the first, bottom eyelet.
You take each lace diagonally across the shoe, creating an "X" as the laces move into the third eyelets. Now, take each lace straight back down, wrapping under the lace and eyelet directly below. Then you take the laces up, diagonally crossing into the next open eyelet.
Repeat step four until you've reached the top eyelets and tied your preferred knot.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - 7 Tips on How to Keep Your Sneakers Fresh for Longer
Written by Gabriel S. on July 7th 2019
You know how dead-serious we sneakerheads are about shoes. We always want to keep them in mint condition to make sure their value and beauty won’t fade with time. It takes a lot of care, effort, and love to keep your favorite pair of sneakers in the best condition, as you need to pay attention to all the details to make sure that you don’t miss anything.

If you’re looking for tips and tricks that will help you keep your sneakers in the best condition, you’ve come to the right place! Check out this list:

1. Spray your shoes with a protective coating
Water can make sneakers look dirty and stained. When the fabric of your sneakers is exposed to any liquid, it will lose its original look and texture, which is why you should do whatever you can to protect your sneakers. One of the best ways to do this is to spray protection products on your shoes. Such products will add a hydrophobic coating to them and help prevent water from coming into direct contact with your sneakers, allowing them to stay fresh and clean.v

2. Use a damp cloth or wet wipes to clean your shoes
When you’re looking to clean your sneakers, use wet wipes that don’t have chemicals or perfume in them. Make sure to wipe the surface of your sneakers gently. This will help preserve their original texture while getting rid of dirt and dust on the surface.

3. Do spot cleaning when necessary
If there’s a stubborn stain on your sneakers that won’t come off, you can use mild shampoo or soap and an old toothbrush to clean it. Simply put a small drop of shampoo on the toothbrush and gently rub it onto the stain in a circular motion for around one minute.

4. Air-dry your shoes
If your sneakers are damp, it’s important that you let them air dry. This process can take several hours depending on how wet they are, but it’s the best solution you have. Sunlight can damage the original color of your sneakers, so make sure you place them in a well-ventilated space, far away from sunlight.

5. Keep your sneakers stuffed
To make sure that your sneakers retain their original shape, you should stuff them when you’re not using them. This will help to keep the vamp puffed and prevent it from collapsing onto itself.

6. Change your sneakers every day
Much like people, your sneakers need rest to help them stay in mint condition. Therefore, you need to alternate them to keep all of your sneakers in good condition for as long as possible.

7. NEVER put your sneakers in a washing machine
Some people will suggest that you take off their laces and throw your sneakers in a washing machine and dryer. This is the worst thing you can do for them, as the water, detergent, heat, and constant bumping are all horrible for sneakers.

But hey, we’re not pertaining to a pair of sneakers with utterly outrageous neon color, or with angel air wings sticking out on the sides. So you should be wary.

Slip-on sneaker

The slip-on sneakers are perfect for those who are always on the go. Chances are you don’t have all the time in the world. With this easy-breezy style, you can simply slip your feet into the sneakers and do not need to tie your shoes. That said, every man needs a pair of good slip-on sneakers for a practical reason. That with a pair of dark denim makes a killer outfit. You can try the “Capo” Slip-On Sneaker by Creative Recreation.

Hybrid pair

Another standout is the hybrid pair. You may think of this as sneakers that meet with wingtip loafers. When wearing, you may wear them with a pair of slim-fit trousers and a blazer to have an overall dress-up look. If not, you can simply match them with a casual outfit. That looks good either. That being said, you can try the “Lambert” Wingtip Sneaker by Ben Minkoff.

Texturized sneaker

Last on the list is texturized sneaker. A pair of texturized kicks are easy to dress up or dress down. They look interesting with tweed fabrics, suede snakeskin, or fish-scale texture fabric. They look cool as with a casual outfit. You may try these blue embossed kicks that are an exciting combination of a sneaker and boot. These kicks may surely liven up your day, your outfit, and of course, your shoe collection. You can try the blue embossed Chukka Sneaker by Axel Arigato.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - The Right Basketball Shoes for Your Play Style
Written by Gabriel S. on June 2nd 2019
Basketball players are always on the lookout for the perfect pair of kicks that will accommodate their play style on the court. If you aren’t a basketball aficionado yourself, perhaps you’re wondering how much the right shoe really contributes to your ability to perform at your maximum potential. The truth is that it does have quite an impact. After all, comfort and stability are key. And of course, a trendy, fashionable pair kicks your confidence up a notch.

Unfortunately, finding a pair of perfect basketball shoes can be challenging. There are so many manufacturers out there that offer basketball shoes with varying characteristics and attributes. So what should you be looking for? Keep reading to find out!

IF YOU’RE AN ALL-AROUND PLAYER OR A POWER PLAYER
Look for: Fit to perfection, amazing support, good cushioning, and traction
Chances are that when you think of an all-around player with balanced strengths in the NBA, the person who comes to mind is LeBron James. LeBron is one of those players who manage to do essentially everything on the court. Whether it be shooting, driving, assisting, rebounding, stealing, or blocking, Lebron’s your guy. At a height of 6’8” and a weight of up to 270 lbs, this player is no joke and will bulldoze his way to the rim. Any player with power and a well-distributed skill set should look for a sneaker that provides a good fit and a firm lockdown while maintaining support, cushioning, and traction. A sneaker that can accommodate this kind of play style would be LeBron’s signature lineup of sneakers, which includes the Lebron Soldier lineup (LeBron Soldier I - IX) and the original LeBron signature lineup (Nike LeBron I - XVI).

IF YOU’RE A SCORER, A SLASHER, OR A HIGH FLYER

Look for: Traction, good fit, support, good cushioning

At the terms scorer, slasher, and high flyer, the usual names that come to mind are, of course, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and Stephen Curry. A play style that involves a lot of shooting, slashing, and jumping to high heights requires shoes with amazing traction and firm lockdown. Players who consider themselves to be slashers need great traction and extraordinary lockdown to prevent their feet from sliding off the footbed. Lockdown is very important for slashers because they have to change directions very quickly at fast speeds. A high jumper needs both good traction and a good fit; however, cushion and support are also crucial for high jumpers. One good buy for this kind of play style would be the Under Armour Clutchfit Drive 3.

IF YOU’RE THE DISTRIBUTOR OR FACILITATOR

Look for: Close fit, comfort, and traction

In basketball, distributors are considered the conductors. This is because they are the ones who are running up and down the court non-stop to make plays for their teammates throughout the game. They usually play offense by doing pick-and-rolls or by finding a teammate open for a shot. Distributors aren’t stationary and passive; they are constantly moving in different directions. That is why traction is very necessary for this kind of play style. A close fit and good cushioning are also required to prevent a distributor’s feet from getting sore.

However, too much cushion isn’t good too because it can cause instability, which will cause a player’s foot to roll over. Distributors like to have a good court feel, meaning they prefer their feet to be close to the ground. A few examples of sneakers that match this kind of play style are Nike Kyries, Nike Kobes, and Nike Jordans.

IF YOU’RE A POST PLAYER

Look for: Perfect fit, support, and good cushioning

Players who are capable of this play style tend to protect the rim. This play style requires sneakers with a perfect fit and firm lockdown to prevent a player’s foot from slipping out of the shoe. Post players typically don’t move in multiple directions around the court, but they do move quickly in their specified area on the court.

Many utilize spin moves that require a lot of tension on the arch of their foot. For this reason, good support is a must. Players who are down in the post need cushioning, but it’s best to have it in either the forefoot or the heel. Examples for this type of play style include Nike Hyperdunks or Adidas Howards.

How do you know which one is right for you?

When you look for the right basketball sneakers for your play style, start by considering what you really want and need. There are multiple sneaker brands to choose from, including retros, Jordans, Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - How to Make Sneakers Work For Any Occasion
Written by Gabriel S. on May 18th 2019
These days, there are sneakers made for almost every occasion. Now you can wear sneakers to formal events, sporting events, and even when you just want to express your personal style. That said, there’s still a proper way to wear sneakers, no matter what style you choose. Here are some tips on wearing them:

Matchy matchy

No matter what’s on trend or what sneakers you want to try and rock, it’s important that you choose a style that goes with what you’re wearing. If you buy shoes that you aren’t too sure about, you could end up with a pair that won’t match your outfit, thus ruining its overall effect. Whatever your personal style is like, make sure your sneakers complement what you’re wearing.

Know the occasion

The most important part of styling yourself for an event is knowing the theme. If you know that, it will be easier to choose an outfit that’s perfect for the occasion, including shoes. Sneakers can be incredibly versatile, but they’re still not a proper substitute for dress shoes. If you’re going to a formal event, we don’t recommend that you go for casual shoes. Keep in mind that it’s better to be overdressed rather than underdressed when going to a formal event.

Clean them up

Regardless of the occasion, it doesn’t matter how cool your sneakers are if you don’t take proper care of them. You should be washing your laces regularly, eliminating any foul odor, and keeping your sneakers clean and free of dust or dirt. You shouldn’t spend a lot on shoes if you don’t even think about properly cleaning and storing them.

Understanding shoe types

As there are many types of sneakers you could wear to different kinds of occasions, it’s quite important for you to understand the difference between them. Here’s a little breakdown of the different types of sneakers.

Basics

When we use the term “basics,” we’re talking Converse or Vans. You know these shoes, you’ve seen these shoes, and you might even own a few pairs in different colors. These sneakers are affordable, pretty easy to keep clean and wear.

Refined luxury

These might resemble basic sneakers, but they’re more expensive because of the materials they’re made of, which usually include leather or suede. Some labels that sell refined luxury sneakers include Tom Ford, Lanvin and Saint-Laurent.

Sporty

Classic sports sneakers include the Nike Air Max 90, Reeboks Pumps, Tiger and other old-school sport sneakers that are well-known for being track-and-field ready. If you’re looking for more current, modern sports sneakers, check out brands like Puma, Adidas, and Nike. They have sporty sneakers with a more modern look and shape.

High-fashion

If you’re looking to buy high fashion sneakers, you could find a great pair at brands like Givenchy, Louboutin, Diemme, and many other high-end brands. Their designs will be more noticeable, sometimes a little loud, and you’ll definitely see some of the biggest fashion icons wearing them.

High tech

High tech sneakers are crafted by creators who are really trying to push the limits of sneaker design. Their goal is to offer the best sneaker technology and footwear in order to create sneakers that allow for comfort and high functionality.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - How to Pair White Sneakers With Your Wardrobe
Written by Gabriel S. on May 11th 2019
Although the stereotype is that women have rows and rows of shoes while men wear one pair over and over again, the truth is that most men and women now compete for space on the shoe rack. The obsession with shoes, be it heels, boots, or sneakers, has taken over the world. In fact, some people go as far as having a collection of shoes of different pairs, colors, styles, and designs.

But here’s the catch: every person needs a good pair of sneakers. You can opt out of a pair of leather shoes or choose to never buy a pair of running shoes, but make sure that you have a great pair of sneakers. We can guarantee that the shoe will be perfect for any time of day, whether you are walking the street for the day’s break or hitting the club on a night out.

Now when it comes to a pair of sneakers, what better way to choose a color than to go for white sneakers? Why? Unlike colored shoes, white sneakers can be paired with almost any wardrobe style. Plus, they complement whatever casual, smart casual, or stylish get-up you want to sport.

There’s no doubt that the best part of this shoe option is its versatility. Wondering how to pair white sneakers with your wardrobe? Here are five things to try:

White Sneakers & Colored Trousers: go prepster!

Let’s kick things off with white sneakers matched with colored trousers. These two items can pair beautifully if you wish to pull off the prepster style! Throw on some white Chuck Taylor shoes and match them with your cotton chinos and a Ralph Lauren polo. Don’t wear your ratty pair of gym socks - ankle socks will work. Alternatively, wear your white tennis shoes with khaki trousers and a pastel shirt. It’s a matter of perfectly mixing and matching your white sneakers with the perfect pair of colored trousers to make a statement. You’ll be channeling the style forefathers in no time!

White Sneakers & Shorts: sport an on-the-go look!

This one is generic. When it comes to sneakers, shorts are obviously the best match. We’re willing to bet that you’ve seen men walk off the street sporting an on-the-go look! That said, wear lean and slim-looking sneakers that should be worn without socks and in low cut. Complement them with your tailored chino shorts and a relaxed blazer. Or to look a lot cooler, have this footwear paired with other items -- a plain fitted tee, comfy shorts, and sleek shades. This on-the-go look will be perfect for everything from running errands around town to taking someone special on a brunch date!

White Sneakers & Black Jeans: get the monochromatic, minimalist style!

White sneakers and black jeans are a timeless combination. Imagine decking yourself out in black from head to knee, saving your toes for a sleek pair of white sneakers. The heavy black look can certainly be toned down by the white sneakers. The white sneakers can undoubtedly be a natural choice for monochrome purists wanting to have that sleek, minimalist wardrobe style. That said, take away unnecessary items (like socks) and keep jackets, shirting, and coats very symmetrical. The stark contrast between the shades of black and white, minus any add-ons can certainly make a great deal of difference in your overall get-up.

White Sneakers & Skinny Jeans: create a chic, casual get-up!

For a more common relaxed look, go for quality denim and pair it with some white sneakers. A pair of white sneakers looks incredibly fashionable with skinny jeans if you want that chic, stylish, casual get-up. That said, look for double denim before rolling the cuffs of some straight-fit jeans and chuck on your white sneakers. You can rock out the day like a modern Paul Newman. Casual yet chic!

White Sneakers & A Suit: go smart casual!

To cap the final look, complement your sneakers with - yes - a suit! This seems to be an ‘it’ thing in the wardrobe department, giving fashionable gents a smart casual look. While wearing a suit or a blazer, you can wash down the formality of the tailored outfit with white sneakers. But be wary of donning a dirty pair, as the sneakers need to remain sleek and bright. These shoes can complement the rest of your attire beautifully, exuding that sartorial suaveness you’ve worked hard to muster.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - Why Are Air Jordans So Popular - What to Know
Written by Gabriel S. on May 4th 2019
The Air Jordan shoe label remains as popular as ever before. Not only has it become popular among those who play basketball, but it has also attracted the attention of people who play other sports as well.

Air Jordan’s frequently sell out every time there’s a new release. Long queues form outside retail stores and when the shoes are available for sale online, it’s common for them to sell out within minutes.

Some people may be wondering what’s in an Air Jordan that makes it so sought out. The answer lies in its history. In Nike’s early years, its marketing efforts were initially targeted towards joggers.

After all, its founders were joggers. But Nike eventually realized that the market demand for their shoes for sports use was much larger. In 1984, it tapped then rising star Michael Jordan into a marketing deal that begun Nike’s foray onto the basketball court. Thus, Air Jordan was born.

The shoes Nike originally made for the basketball icon generated $100 million in sales just over a year. That demand was largely in part due to the ban the NBA imposed on the Air Jordan’s prototype for violating a color scheme that mandated that at least 51% of the shoe’s color should be white. Nike used the ban to promote the Air Jordan and the shoe’s popularity took off.

When Jordan wore the red-white shoe in his signature slam dunk, the shoe itself got immortalized along with the basketball idol. Michael Jordan’s stunning basketball career combined with Nike’s crafty marketing helped carry the shoe line’s name into one of the most prized sneakers today. Compared to other brands or shoe lines, the classic Air Jordans are commonly resold for a higher value.

Although most of the value associated with the shoe comes from the fact that it was the kind of shoe Michael Jordan himself wore, the shoe also has high-quality features for basketball players. The shoe’s leather makes it durable for dribbles and runs, while its interior made it easy for players to stride across the court.

Additionally, Air Jordan’s distinct style remains as fashionable as it had been in the 80’s. Since its first release, the Air Jordan now has 32 designs. Common to all these designs is the Jumpman logo stamped onto each Air Jordan.

The “Jumpman” is a silhouette of Michael Jordan poised in his iconic dunk. For those who own an Air Jordan, it is a source of pride to have a pair of shoes that carry Michael Jordan’s legacy. It has not only become a basketballer’s shoe, but it has also become a collector’s item.

Long after the basketball star retired, the shoe line named after him still registers record high sales. The comfort the Jordan provides the basketball player eventually found its way into other sports, diversifying the Air Jordan’s fan base.

Nike’s release of limited editions continues to produce even more demand for the shoe & with the greatest basketball player in history endorsing the Air Jordan himself, the Jordan has cemented its place as a symbol of prestige.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - 5 Sneakers to Pair With Your Suits
Written by Gabriel S. on April 28th 2019
Gone are the days when a suit needed to be worn with a pair of sensible oxfords. It’s just a matter of mixing and matching to create an overall balanced look. In fact, wearing sneakers with a half-canvas suit can give you an overall smart casual vibe.

Some corporate businesses are no longer as strict when it comes to dress codes. People don’t even dress as formally when attending special occasions such as baptisms or weddings. A well-planned smart casual outfit can make a statement while ensuring that you still look put together. Even if you are simply attending a party or hitting up the club, wearing a suit with a good pair of sneakers can make you look neat and tidy, yet nonchalant at the same time.

That being said, the line between sneakers that look great with a suit and sneakers that will ruin your outfit is extremely fine. It’s important that you know the difference. Listed below are five types of sneakers that you might want to try pairing with your suits:

Adidas Originals

Topping the list are Adidas Originals. They come in different variations, in different styles and colors. As a beginner at wearing suits and sneakers together, however, you may want to start with a simple white pair. White shoes offer a certain casual feel when matched with a suit. This is even more so when you wear an Adidas original pair. These sneakers may be casual, but with a navy suit, they strike the perfect balance between sleek and laid back.

Yung 1 Suede Sneakers

The next pair of sneakers on the list is Yung 1 Suede Sneakers. This chunky trainer has been quite a fad ever since its release date. It’s not too difficult to pull off the perfect smart casual look you wish to project this pair matched with a semi-formal suit. Although they are available in a few colors, you may want to opt for the neutral shades to compliment your outfit.

GrandPro Tennis Sneaker

The GrandPro Tennis Sneakers come in white, black or brown and they have a texture that goes spectacularly well with a blazer. We bet that you are aware of how ridiculously comfortable these shoes are. If you walk quite a bit during your commute to the office, these shoes will keep you comfortable yet looking sharp.

Chuck Taylor 1970s Hi

Who doesn’t love Chuck Taylors? The iconic hi-cut black or white sneakers are undoubtedly trendy and have been for quite a few years. Now imagine matching a pair with a black suit to give off a professional, yet casual vibe. A smart casual suit would look best with this casual sneaker.

The Royale

The last sneaker we will take a close look at is the Royale sneakers. They usually come in white, black, and brown colors. These sneakers low-tops made of leather with a minimal silhouette. The material used is one reason why this pair looks fantastic with suits. In fact, they don’t stray too far from dress shoes. Therefore, if you’re still getting the hang of balancing suits and sneakers, the Royale sneakers are the perfect place to start.

Wrapped Up

Although these five sneakers are fantastic pairing options for suits, there is a wide array of shoes out there that you can experiment with, from Larry Suede Sneakers to Common Projects Original Achilles Leather Sneakers. So many sneakers can look absolutely fantastic with formalwear for a smart casual look.

All you need to do is to experiment. If you’re afraid to stray too far from your current style, start with something a little bit closer and deviate over time. So what are you waiting for? Go grab a pair of sneakers, don the perfect suit, and head out to make a great impression with your smart casual apparel!

Sell Sneakers for Cash - What You Need to Know about Air Jordans
Written by Gabriel S. on April 21st 2019
If you are a sucker for basketball sneakers and are an avid fan of the legend, Michael Jordan, then the famous Air Jordan sneakers are for you. Not only will you get to wear that pair of sneakers literally, but you will also get to wear Michael’s shoes.

Nike, one of the world’s largest suppliers and manufacturers of athletic shoes, has brought shoe lovers a variety of kicks that lend that coolness-personified factor and utmost pride, with the likes of Nike Golf, Nike Pro, Nike+, Nike Blazers, Air Force 1, Nike Dunk, Air Max, Foamposite, Nike Skateboarding, Nike CR7 and not to mention, Air Jordan.

Speaking of Air Jordan, AJ is a brand of basketball shoes produced by Nike that can be worn in a variety of styles, whether athletic, casual, or stylish. The first AJ release dates back to 1984, but the shoe has evolved quite a bit over the years. The latest release is the Air Jordan XXXIII (33) which was released in October of last year.

Perhaps you only own one pair. Or maybe you have been lucky enough to avail of Jordan packages -- from the Jordan Spiz'ike shoes to Defining Moments I to IV to Air Jordan Sixty Plus to Jordan Son of Mars edition up to the latest Jordan Fusions.

But let’s take a walk down memory lane and learn how the Air Jordan brand has kicked off in the global scene and become what it is today.

The History of Air Jordan

Air Jordan has a royal tale, so to speak, spanning over three decades. It was designed and produced by Peter Moore back in 1985 for the professional basketball player, Michael Jordan, who was (and is) a legend in the basketball arena.

Prior to this, Michael himself wasn’t a fan of the renowned and highly esteemed brand which is Nike. Back in college, he chose to wear Adidas and Concord shoes; albeit he didn’t have much preference for these brands.

At some crucial point in time, Nike decided to come up with signature shoes and unique clothing lines, extending Michael a considerable offer that was hard to resist. The deal was that the shoes should get a gross profit of $3 million in three years or Michael should enter into the NBA all-star game. Michael took the offer. And pay off, it did.

The Profits from Air Jordan

Michael continued to wear the AJ shoe brand as he played. It got to the point where the NBA commissioner David Stern banned Michael from wearing these sneakers as a violation of the uniform rule - players were only supposed to wear white. The kicks that Jordan was wearing, however, were a rebellious red and black blend.

This has sparked a huge controversy. NBA charged Michael a fine of $5000 due to the violation. Nike paid the fine. The brand took advantage of the situation to promote the brand as a form of marketing strategy.

In the end, the rebellion paid off for both Michael and the brand. The shoes made more than the expected gross profit and Michael ended up as the Rookie of the year for the NBA all-star game.

Air Jordan These Days

With the launching of the AJ brand and out of the sparked controversy, the shoes and the brand blew up. Each year, Nike continued to come up with a handful of editions that would keep the public drooling and crawling over each other to buy the latest limited pair.

These days, the Jordan shoes have been identified with the Air Jordan logo which we are all very familiar with. And ultimately, this brand has underscored the four important aspects of wearing a pair of shoes -- comfort, style, performance, and fashion.

Sell Sneakers for Cash - Picking the Right Nike Shoes for Your Run
Written by Gabriel S. on March 24th 2019
Although hype accompanies every major shoe company’s new product releases, no brand has ever been able to make a perfect running shoe that suits absolutely everybody. After all, everybody is every individual body that has footwear needs that differ from one another. That being said, Nike could claim that it was able to create the shoe that was as close to perfect as it gets. The Zoom Vaporfly 4% was the one Eliud Kipchoge wore when he set a new world record in the Berlin Marathon. Kipchoge seems not alone when it comes to having broken “personal bests” or “PB’s” with the aid of the almighty Vaporfly. Users from all levels appear to run faster when wearing this wonder footgear.

Unfortunately, the golden price tag and extreme rarity make the Vaporfly 4% vaporize out of reach for almost everybody - the other 96 percent, at least. The good thing is that Nike has other available shoes that can be cut for all kinds of runners, giving you hope that there is a shoe that works for you regardless of what you are looking to achieve in the sport of running.

Here is a short introduction to a few pairs of Nike shoes. Who knows? One of them may be the perfect ones for you!

Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo for all-around races

Whether for easy training runs or arduous long distances, there is the Pegasus 35 and Zoom Pegasus Turbo. These two releases are part of Nike’s long line of Pegasus racing shoes that stretch 35 years back in history. The Zoom Pegasus Turbo contains foam comparable to that of the Vaporfly that makes it lightweight and comfortable while yielding just enough jerk on your feet every time you step on the road to keep you darting around with ease. The Turbo’s cushion works both for just an ordinary run around the park as well as charitable fun runs.

Bouncy strides even without the 4%: the Nike Zoom Fly Flyknit

Improving your running efficiency by 4% may not seem like a big deal for you to get a shoe, but that 4% added performance as seen in how amateur and pro runners may suggest that the figure is not all hot air as it would seem. Vaporfly’s ZoomX foam and carbon fibre plate work together to ensure that the runner is able to cover long distances in a smoother and easier manner. However, since the Vaporfly option is not tenable, consider the Zoom Fly Flyknit instead.

That being said, don’t expect that added 4% from this shoe. What’s nice though is that the Flyknit is far cheaper than the Vaporfly while still being able to provide you with some of the best features you could look for to exceed your PB. The cheaper tag lies in the fact that it also contains the same carbon fibre plate as its cousin. Instead of ZoomX foam, however, the Flyknit uses Nike’s durable and bouncy React foam as its midsole. Thus, it may be less lightweight and resilient than the Vaporfly but you can give it a try for half- or full-marathon distances.

Short race classic: the Nike Zoom Streak

You don’t need to join the bandwagon of users of the lightweight cushioned racing shoes if the longest distance you plan to run is five kilometers. The Zoom Streak remains a classic racing shoe that you can use for your 5K, despite it having only little cushioning and none of the heavenly lightweightness. The weight of the shoe and its lack of cushion may not be preferable for runners who need to endure 20K distances or above. For ordinary racers, however, it does the trick. If you’re light and lanky, it may even be able to take you up to 10K distances!

Dash races and run errands with Nike Epic React’s flair

The Epic React may have a thick chunk of cushion of React foam on the bottom, but its weight is not an anchor you would have to pull. The cushioning gives the feet of Epic React users a spring back effect for every step they make in their run, making a soft bouncy run viable both for plain and easy short runs as well as for more intense races. Its stylish look also makes it fitting to use for running errands downtown.

Nike Air Zoom Structure 22 for a steady, pleasant pace

If you want a shoe that will help you keep your arch from being squished painfully as you run while still keeping your gait steady, the Zoom Structure might be your favorite pick. The Zoom Structure has long been favored among stability-seeking runners, which is unsurprising, since the shoe’s midsole support and heel overlay enables their feet to smoothly undergo repetitive heel-to-toe transition as they run without the uncomfortable rigidity normally associated with these processes in other shoe wearers.

Nike Air Terra Kiger 4 for rocky roads

For conquering rocky trails and hillside slopes, the Terra Kiger 4 is a workable shoe solution. Its superiority lies in its versatility: you can use it comfortably on road races or in eco-runs involving cobbles and roadside weeds. If you have to plough through muddy fields, however, the Air Zoom Wildhorse might prove to be a wiser choice to rid yourself of the muddy slough.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - The Rise of Luxury Sneakers - What to Know
Written by Gabriel S. on March 17th 2019
It’s no secret that sneakers are no longer just footwear for sports like they used to be decades ago. Sneakers have become a fashion statement for people across the globe. On the street, you will see that five out of ten people are walking around in sneakers. People are willing to spend over $200 dollars and wait in long queues for a pair of limited-edition models. This sneaker craze, however, is nothing new. What is new is the fact that high-end designers are beginning to come out with luxury trainers as part of their new collections. This article will expand on this new development in more detail.

The Emergence of Luxury Trainers

Today, sneakers are accepted by the general public as appropriate footwear to wear to formal or high-class events. The evidence can be seen at the recent fashion shows in London and Milan, where Adidas Stan Smith can be seen on several influential people in the front row. Moreover, Kanye West, along with many others, have broken out of the conventional rule by rocking sneakers to black-tie events.

It is not only leading brands including Nike, Adidas, Fila, Puma, and others that are in the game. Luxury designer brands, such as Dior Homme, Lanvin, and Gucci are starting to incorporate sneakers into their ready-to-wear collections, creating a new category of their own: artisanal trainers.

Many contemporary labels such as Common Projects are also releasing simple trainers that come with three-figure price tags. Although these handmade trainers are made from high-quality leathers, don’t expect to wear them to the gym. In other words, the practicality of these designer shoes is incomparable to traditional shoe brands. That being said, it is worth mentioning that the quality of luxury sneakers is impeccable.

The Significance of Resale Value

Rare sneakers such as Nike Air Jordans are known for their value. Due to their history, it has been established that there will be no shortage of people who want to get their hands on the rarest of models. The same thing cannot be said about luxury trainers - at least not yet. The question that remains now is whether you want to spend a considerable amount of money in a pair of luxury trainers that costs over $800 or invest in sneakers that have high resale value. In the end, it comes down to your priority.

Parting Thoughts

Although luxury brands are superior in terms of quality and prestige, mainstream sportswear brands are in the lead when it comes to rarity. For instance, Nike is known for having created massive demand and scarce supply, resulting in a vast resale market that causes the prices to skyrocket. The fact that they are so hard to obtain makes them more desirable and valuable - even though the quality is not that much better than other decent sneakers on the market. In sum, sneakers are not only fashion pieces, but they are also business in their own rights. As for luxury trainers, the future is uncertain as their emergence is still new territory. Nonetheless, they are, without question, worth keeping an eye on.

Sell Sneakers for Cash - Tips on How to Wear Your Air Jordans With Jeans
Written by Gabriel S. on March 11th 2019
Considering the enormous popularity of the Nike Air Jordan shoes, it’s no surprise that they have become such a fashion statement for men all over the world. Not only are they practical and comfortable to wear, but they are also great for casual wear as well. People love styling the Jordans with their everyday outfits.

Jeans, in particular, go incredibly well with these fashionable kicks. However, with the unique shape and design of the Air Jordan, it can be tricky to find the right kind of jeans to pair with. This article will tell you all about how to properly wear your Jordans with jeans to showcase that fashionista side of yours!

1. Choose Slim Jeans
One of the best ways to wear your Jordans is with straight cut or slim jeans. This will give you the best balance between the foot and the leg. Be careful not to wear jeans that are too tight, though. Otherwise, the Jordans will stand out too much, and not in a presentable way. The bottom line is: settle for jeans that are not too baggy and not too skinny for the best look.

2. Make Your Jordans the Focus
Assuming that your Jordans are the priciest item in your whole outfit, you want to make sure that they get the spotlight they deserve. In simpler words, don’t be shy to show them off to the world! If your Jordans are bright and bold with crazy designs and patterns, then you should put together an outfit that is muted enough so that your Jordans can be the centerpiece that will catch everyone’s eyes.

Also, don’t forget about the color palette. Your whole outfit should still go well together even though your kicks are the star! Although Jordans are known for their eccentric colors and patterns, wearing clothing items that are too similar in color is a terrible idea. Instead, try to keep your outfits simple with neutral and versatile colors.

3. Choose Your Outfit Wisely
Apart from your jeans, make sure that every item on your outfit is also on-point! Just because you want to make your sneakers the focal point doesn’t mean that you should fail to dress well. In sum, everything needs to work together as a whole to enhance your whole look!

The Best Jordans to Wear With Jeans
If you’re looking to buy yourself a pair of Nike Jordans, look no further than the Air Jordan 1. The interesting part is that Michael Jordan himself didn’t even like the Jordan 1. As a matter of fact, he was ready to leave Nike for another sponsor even before his favorite design, the Jordan III, came out. However, that doesn’t make the Air Jordan 1 even less popular - it is actually the opposite.

The Air Jordan 1 is still popular to this day due to its classic design and colors, acting as the embodiment of the entire collection of Air Jordans. Most importantly, with the iconic red, black, and white color combination, the Jordan 1 can never do you wrong when paired with jeans.

Sell Sneakers For Cash-Luxury Sneakers That Every Sneakerhead Needs to Have in Their Collection
Written by Gabriel S. on March 3rd 2019
Some may think that the most essential piece of clothing on your body is your shirt or your jacket, but anyone who says so might all be missing the point. Your shirt and pants take up a lot of space on your body, but that can also mean that they don’t draw a lot of attention to you either. Your shoes, on the other hand, are the most captivating part of your overall attire. People usually start observing a body starting from the head down to the feet. While a good shirt and a nice pair of pants work well as the directors for the eye movement, it’s the shoes that will bring the look together.

For those high-end sneakerheads out there, here’s a list of the luxury sneakers that took 2018 by storm, and they’re mandatory in every serious sneakerphile’s collection:

GIVENCHY — KNITTED MID SNEAKERS
These are a great addition to a casual, yet luxurious look that many high-end sneakers can’t deliver. They are also incredibly comfortable and cozy, making them a perfect addition to the street looks in the fall.

YEEZY — BOOST 350 V2 ZEBRA EDITION
Kanye won it big when he launched Yeezy, as it’s become one of the most popular sneakers in the market. With Adidas’ Boost technology, the 350 V2 are the most comfortable sneakers, and the Zebra pattern design makes it a great way to break away from the dull, monotonous look.

GUCCI — LEATHER LACE UP SNEAKERS
These sneakers have been around for a while, but they have gained a lot more popularity with the rise of the luxury sneaker trend. The classic white leather with the green and red stripe is a memorable look that everyone remembers no matter where they see them.

COMMON PROJECTS — ORIGINAL ACHILLES
The Achilles by Common Project is what you get when you combine simplicity and elegance of the classic leather shoes with the modern look of a sneaker. This is the epitome of class and style, and it’s proof that the “less is more” principle works with all types of fashion.

SCARPE DI BIANCO — DECO VELOUR GUNMETAL
These are the shoes that invented the term “dress sneakers,” as the gunmetal-colored leather top and white outsole makes for a neat and classy pair of shoes.

FERRAGAMO RAINBOW
If you’re looking for luxury sneakers designed specifically for comfort and mobility, Ferragamo’s Rainbow is the one you need. The iconic rainbow side outsole will catch the attention of everybody who sees it.

PRADA — TECHNICAL MESH AND LEATHER SNEAKERS
Prada came in the luxury sneaker game with these bad boys. The top is a combination of mesh fabric and calf leather. The designer went all out with the soles, as there is an intricate interwoven pattern in the sole, captivating the eye of the passersby with every step.

BALENCIAGA — TRIPLE S MESH SNEAKERS
If you’re looking for something unique and different, the Triple S from Balenciaga is what you’re looking for. These shoes kickstarted the “ugly sneakers” trend, and the unconventional look of these shoes is the true testament to how far the brand is willing to go to be different.

GREATS — ROYALE PERFORATED SNEAKERS
If you’re looking for a pair of elegant sneakers that can still be considered “luxury,” these are what you should be looking at. The breathable mesh design makes them super comfortable and light, so you can take them out for a spin in the city all day without tiring out your feet.

MAISON MARGIELA — BLACK LIMITED EDITION MIXED PATCHWORK SNEAKERS
Have you ever wanted to buy a pair of expensive, messy looking shoes? Neither did we, but here these strange looking shoes are. As the name suggests, the shoes look like they’re made by stitching patches of fabric together and calling it a day. What an idea, right?

FEAR OF GOD — MILITARY NUBUCK AND MESH HIGH-TOP SNEAKERS
These were designed to replicate the look of combat boots but without the bulky features and heavy weight. These are super popular in the hip-hop community, and we can see why. They go well with the fur jacket that rappers nowadays like to sport.

RICK OWENS — DIRT SHOES
Staying on the boot theme, the Dirt Shoes from Rick Owens are a great addition to any street look. We’re not sure why they named them the way they did, but we’re not complaining.

COMME DES GARCONS — CHUCK TAYLOR SNEAKERS
Regardless of what you think, Chucks are still the stuff, even in 2019, and the iconic Comme Des Garcons heart makes the style even more memorable.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - A List of Ten Most Expensive Nike Sneakers On the Market
Written by Gabriel S. on Feb 11th 2019
Many people buy sneakers for their practicality and fashion, but there are others who “collect” sneakers for their value. Sneakers can be extremely affordable. However, they can also be unbelievably expensive. In fact, there are sneakers that are even more expensive than a car! Here are some of the most expensive and rarest sneakers on the market available for sale or - in some cases - for auction:

10. Nike Air Jordan II Retro ($12,000)
Made in Italy, this classic Air Jordan II featured a full-length encapsulated Nike Air bubble for extra comfort. The pair first made its debut in 1986 during basketball season, and they reappeared again six more times. The Nike Air Jordan II Retro was released in 2013 and was nicknamed as “Legends of the Summer,” giving a nod to Justin Timberlake’s tour.

9. Nike Air Jordan III Retro Unreleased ($12,500)
These sneakers were publicized by the famous “Mars and Mike” ad campaign that featured Spike Lee. The first release was in 1988, and Nike has since re-released seven retro versions of the Air Jordan III. This particular version was released and nicknamed “Drake vs Lil Wayne” in 2014 during their concert tour.

8. Nike Air Jordan XIV Retro Promo Sample ($14,000)
Inspired by a Ferrari M550, the Air Jordan XIV features 7 Jumpman logos on each foot and was owned by Michael Jordan himself. The pair was released in 2016.

7. Nike Dunk High Le Wu-Tang ($15,000)
Even before the birth of the Air Jordan I, the Nike Dunk was Nike’s first pair of sneakers to be seen on the court in 1985. However, the design was changed in 1999 to impress skateboarders, who wanted a slightly different pair. The Nike Dunk has since then become one of the most wanted sneakers in the world. It’s presumed that Nike only made 36 pairs.

6. Nike LeBron X Promo Sample ($15,550)
This 2013 pair is player-exclusive with diamond-inspired details. The Lebron X was released to celebrate the tenth anniversary of LeBron’s signature line.

5. Nike Air Jordan V Retro Promo Sample ($16,000)
The pair was first released in 1990 and has been re-released again four times. The Air Jordan V was nicknamed “Fresh Prince” after Will Smith was seen wearing them in the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

4. Nike Air Jordan IV Retro ($23,000)
Released in 2015, this limited-edition pair of sneakers is a tribute to the fifteenth anniversary of the released of Eminem’s Marshall Mathers album, hence the nickname “EMINEM x Carhartt.”

3. Nike Air Jordan III ($32,460)
This particular Air Jordan III from 1988 is unworn and unlaced. The seller recommends that the sneaker should be left unworn.

2. Nike Air Yeezy 1 Promo Sample "BLACK GLOW" ($65,000)
Released in 2008, the pair was Kanye’s 1-of-1 sample. It has been valued at $150,000, but now it can be found at a consignment shop in New York for around $65,000.

1. Nike Air Mag ($89,000)
This particular Air Mag was auctioned off for $200,000 last year at a New York City gala. All the proceeds went to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. The pair was appropriately nicknamed “Back to the Future” due to its futuristic design. It is one of the 89 Air Mags in the world.

Sell Sneakers For Cash - A Guide to Nike Jordan Sneakers and Their Resale Value
Written by Gabriel S. on Feb 3rd 2019
When discussing sneakers, the name “Nike” is expected to pop up at some point in the conversation. Nike is undoubtedly at the top of the ladder when it comes to athletic footwear, surpassing older competitors such as Reebok in terms of market share. This article will tell you all that you need to know about the history of their signature Jordan sneakers that are still all the rage today.

Origin of Nike Jordans
Nike’s origin dates all the way back to 1964 in the state of Oregon. The brand was founded by a track athlete, Phil Knight, and his coach, Bill Bowerman. Nike first made a splash with its famous track running sneakers. However, when the brand expanded to the basketball arena, the reviews were polarizing. That was when Nike decided that they needed the endorsement of a famous athlete, which is where Michael Jordan came in. Nike’s primary shoe designer, Tinker Hatfield, partnered up with the athlete and together came up with the famous Jordan 1 that is still one of the most wanted sneakers up to this day. Unfortunately, after the Air Jordan 2, Jordan was not interested in continuing with this partnership with Nike.

In 1985, Tinker Hatfield and Nike were able to arrange a meeting with Jordan to propose another partnership in an attempt to keep the Jordan brand relevant. Jordan seemed to be wary of the partnership, but that all changed when he saw the design of the Air Jordan 3. Jordan thought that the design was both luxurious and practical. The famous elephant print accents still remain to be a Jordan signature of sneakers that are valuable in the resale market today. Considering this history of Jordan sneakers, it’s no wonder why the resale value is incredible even after thirty years.

The Hype For Nike Jordans
Now, Jordans have become so much more than just a pair of sneakers to wear. They have become investment items for many people to profit on the resale market. Having said that, the hype for Jordans in 2017 has died down dramatically compared to the previous years. This may be due to the fact that there are so many models available in the market right now that are more hyped up than the classic like Jordans. For example, Nike’s recent collaboration with Kanye West for the Air Yeezys, the Off-White for new Jordans models, and the Back to the Future for the Air Mags, as well as Drake for OVO Jordans are all reasons why the classic Jordans haven’t been doing so well over these past few years. While Nike Jordans are still dominating the resale market, there are too many other models out there that make it hard to determine which shoes are the best to invest for resales and which to avoid.

The Rarity of Nike Jordans
Jordans are always available on the market. There are some models that have great resale value while there are others that never had much resale value, to begin with. Also, it all depends on how rare the models are that impact the overall value. Jordans are becoming harder and harder to find these days. People have been trying to get hold of newer releases such as the Air Jordan 1 Bred Toe. This suggests that the scarcity of Jordans may just be the turning point for the Nike Jordans in terms of their resale value. All sneakerheads will be waiting to see how the demand for Jordans changes in the coming years, and you should too!

Sell Sneakers For Cash - A Comprehensive Guide For Sneakerheads
Written by Gabriel S. on Jan 20th 2019
If you identify as a sneakerhead, chances are you already own a huge collection of sneakers and love every single pair. However, there is a list of things — unofficial rules, you could say — that you, as a self-identified sneakerhead, should do (or shouldn’t do). Here are some examples:

Just Wear Your Sneakers!
This may seem like a no-brainer, but you should wear your sneakers everywhere you go: inside, outside, in the sun, and in the rain. Many sneakerheads are afraid to wear their sneakers for fear of getting dirt on them. Remember - they are shoes and they are meant to be worn.

Wear Your Sneakers For the Joy, Not For Likes
There’s nothing wrong with posting photos of your sneakers on Instagram once in a while. However, some people post their sneakers on a daily basis. This will piss other people off rather than impressing them. Take at least a day or a week to wear your sneakers and enjoy walking in them just for yourself, and not for anyone else.

Enjoy Your Precious Sneakers
Again, wear your sneakers even if they’re one of the most precious pair of shoes you have ever purchased for yourself. What’s the point of buying your favorite sneakers of all time just to let them rot in the back of your closet? There’s no magic that will keep your sneakers preserved forever. At some point, they are going to crumble. So wear them and enjoy them as much as you can!

Go For Something Different
It’s always a good idea to expand your sneakers collection. Just because you play basketball doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy a pair of Converse All Stars during other times! You should always branch out and try something new for yourself once in a while.

Know the Purpose of Your Sneaker
Every pair of sneakers is made with their own specific purpose. Find out what the purpose of your sneakers are and wear them accordingly. For instance, try actually running in actual running shoes. This will help open up your perspective on sneakers, and you’ll come to realize that they serve more purposes than you initially thought.

Don’t Buy Them Right Away!
Some of the best sneakers can find their way to the clearance racks. Drop the whole modern-day consumer idealism that you should buy only the newest and latest collection of sneakers the day they come out. Sometimes, it’s better to just wait. You’ll never know what you could find in your local outlets. One day, you may find yourself those Air Maxes or Lunars for half of its original price, and that will be the moment that you feel like a true winner. Believe in the saying that says, “Good things come to those who wait,” and your patience will prevail.

Compliment Your Fellow Sneakerheads
Instead of judging other people’s sneakers and comparing them to your own, why not give them some compliments? It wouldn’t hurt to just say “hey, nice shoes” to a fellow sneakerhead. Imagine if someone says the same thing to you. You would be over the moon, wouldn’t you? That’s when you’ll realize that one compliment from a real-life person is much more rewarding than getting a bunch of Instagram likes.

Sell Sneakers For Cash-Sneaker Technology Trends That You Have to Look Out for in 2019
Written by Gabriel S. on Jan 14th 2019
Comfort, injury prevention, and performance have always been the most important factors in shoe design. These are the different factors that shoe companies are competing on in order to be the best in the market. With that said, here are some of the most exciting developments in the sneaker industry that you have to keep a close eye on this year:

MIDSOLE TECHNOLOGY
Midsoles are one of the elements of a good pair of shoes that most manufacturers are competing to be the best at, as it takes up a huge part of the shoes. Many different shoes are competing to have the most iconic and functional midsole design. The awards for two of the most notable midsoles designs have to go to Adidas with its Boost technology and Nike with the React model.

ADIDAS BOOST
The Adidas Boost is designed to give you the most comfort, as it’s the only model where you can find the unique bouncy feel. This design has helped to boost Adidas to the top of the sneaker market ever since its launch, and it still remains one of their best selling models to date. The foam capsules are molded in between the sole layers, giving the shoe a more springy texture with each stride. The Ultra Boost and the NMD are the most popular sneaker models with the Boost technology, and they are as comfortable as you would expect.

NIKE REACT
The iconic Nike Reach has the same design philosophy as Adidas’ Boost, but with Nike’s own unique take on the foam design. It borrows the idea of a thick, layered midsole from Adidas, and adds a couple of centimeter’s worth of foam into the midsole. The molded construction with the added foam gives a big boost to the feedback, and you can definitely feel the difference walking in these than any other shoes. It’s a good idea to size up whenever purchasing a pair of Nike’s with React technology, as the extra material takes up quite a bit of space.

3D PRINTING
3D printing and sneakers may not be two terms that sound like they belong together in a sentence, but it’s 2019, and here we are. The Adidas 4D is the one that has gotten the most interest within the past few years, thanks to its captivating looks and unique design ideas. The model uses Primeknit technology with a special combination of materials such as polyester, nylon, rayon, and other polymer-based substances. The mesh design makes the sneaker incredibly light and bouncy, and although it doesn’t have as much as the foam models mentioned earlier, the feedback is still there. The benefit to these is that they don’t get discolored, and they usually last longer than foam. This technology may have a huge potential going forward.

HYPER-TAILORING
When we hear the term tailoring, we often think about suits and other professional attire, but not sneakers. Well, that’s about to change within the next few years, as custom-made sneakers are about to become mainstream in the market. Newer brands like ECCO are utilizing 3D Printing technology and combining it with biomechanical analytics to come up with a midsole design that supports your weight in a way that no other shoe brand has done before. Medical shoes for those with skeletal, joint, or foot issues exist, but they aren’t known for being fashionable. With this technology, we could see awesome-looking medical shoes that both promote your health and keep you looking fly at the same time.

SMART TECHNOLOGY
“Smart Device” technology has been around for a while, and now it’s spread to smart sneakers. These innovative designs help you to keep track of your training, performance, and other related analytics that may help to improve the effectiveness of your workouts. Apps like Nike+ has kick-started this trend, and now other brands like Adidas, Underarmour, and more are giving it a try. The more this technology develops, the more effectively we can personalize our own training, which will help to boost our overall performance. Imagine if your basketball shoes can tell you about how you’re planting your foot when you’re taking a jump shot and how to improve it. Sports science is rapidly discovering new and exciting technologies that can help to better ourselves all the time, and this is their way of selling a part of that technology to the public.

These exciting developments in the sneaker world are something to look out for, as there will always be something bigger and better to come every year. You want to make sure that you’re up to date with state-of-the-art technological advances so that you can be the most knowledgeable sneakerhead you can be!

Sell Sneakers For Cash - How to Increase the Resale Value of Your Sneakers Before Putting Them on the Market
Written by Gabriel S. on Jan 6th 2019
Quite a number of people are now buying sneakers as a fashion investment. However, sneakers do more than complete your look. These shoes can be expensive. Fortunately, getting a reasonable resale value is also more than possible. Whether you’re considering a sneaker resale side hustle or you’re just getting bored of wearing an old pair and itching for a new, you can always sell your shoes and get some money. To get the most out of your sneaker resale, here are a few tips that you need to follow:

Know how much your shoes are worth
The first step in selling your shoes is knowing them well. What is the unique selling point of your shoes? Why would anyone pay the money that you are charging for the shoe? There are several factors that determine how much you can charge for your shoe. These include the colorway, the availability in the market at the moment, the size of your shoes, and the person who designed them.

Learn how to determine sneaker resale value
The simple concept of supply and demand determines how much you can charge for your sneakers. The lower the demand, the lower the price. If the shoe is in high demand and there isn’t enough supply to please everyone, you can then charge a higher price. Don’t just make a rough estimate and go with it. It’s incredibly important to study the market before you decide so that you get the best resale value for your sneakers.

Keep your shoes clean
The first thing that reduces the value of the shoes is their lack of cleanliness. The fact of the matter is that if a shoe is dirty, you will not get a good price for it. It isn’t just a matter of wiping the mud off of the heel, as well. Nobody is going to want to buy the shoes if they smell bad. The lack of cleanliness and maintenance can be a deal breaker. You can simply use an old toothbrush to clean off any dirt from the shoe. Wipe the areas where needed. Clean the bottom thoroughly. How you will clean your shoe depends a lot on the materials used. So to avoid ruining your shoe, learn how to properly keep your shoes clean and odor-free.

Take good photos
The photos you take should be on par with product photos that you see when you are buying something online. That being said, you don’t need expensive photography equipment. Just ensure that the photos are well-lit and that you have taken photos of the shoe from all angles. This will make it seem real. If there is a defect on the shoe, admit it, and take that photo too. Do not show photos of you wearing the shoe. Make sure that you photograph the minute details if you want good value from your shoe.

Know where to sell
When you have taken enough photos, go where your customers go. Facebook groups are a great place to start. You can even list your sneakers on Craigslist. You can use apps and websites like StockX and Goat to sell your shoes as well. However, avoid eBay as the purchasing price is quite high. You can even go to the local consignment store and have them sell your shoe for you.

Build a reputation and a clientele.
You will have to market yourself. If you really want to turn this into a side hustle, consider even making a website and being present on social media. All of these can be done for free. Also, let people know what you are selling and who you are selling it to. Improve the trust in posting photos more regularly and collecting reviews from people who you sold to. Most importantly, do not sell fakes.

Buy at a retail store
You can get your sneakers at a retail store so that you can resale it for more. However, it can be tricky to get them as shoes sell out quite fast. Since the size matters, try to get a shoe in the average size. If your sole purpose for purchase was for resale, avoid trying on the shoes. Sneakers that are in mint condition are worth lot more.

Get free shoes
You can enter giveaways and raffles so that you can get new shoes free of cost. You can then sell these shoes at a very low price. This will attract more customers. Do not sell them at prices that are too low as this would appear to be a scam. Again, do not make the price too high or nobody will be interested.

Sometimes, resale value increases with time
After a new sneaker is released, do not plan to sell it the very next day. You will be met with a whole lot of competition. Instead, you need to wait till all the shoes have been sold out from the websites and retailers. Now, you can sell your sneakers at a much higher price. Yes, the hype may be less, but you can make more money this way while avoiding the merciless competition. Based on the needs of the market, you can even control the resale value of the sneakers.

Become a Sneakerhead
Sneakers are something many are passionate about. That’s why you should try to understand the mindset of your clientele. Follow social media accounts, show off your own collection, let people know you are selling, and show people what you can deliver. You do not want to come off as someone too salesy who just wants to rip others off. Show them that you too care about sneakers and are passionate about it.

Sell Sneakers For Cash- Six Ways to Make Your Sneakers Not Smell
Written by Gabriel S. on Dec 22nd 2018
Your sneakers are a fashion statement and a part of your overall attire that demands the most attention from your onlookers’ eyes. They should be the kept at peak condition at all times to make sure that, no matter what outfit you wear them with, they will still add to your look and keep you looking your best.

The sneakers are also a part of your character, and if there’s anything wrong with them, the people’s perception of you as a person will go down as well. One of the things that will tarnish this perception entirely is if your sneakers are smelly. Stinky shoes make you look like you don’t take care of your shoes as well as yourself. When you think about it, your sneakers have to go through a lot. You wear them to stroll down the streets, to the gym, as you play sports, dance, and more. Sweaty socks are the perfect breeding ground for bacteria. This is what makes that distinctive old cheese smell, and that’s definitely not going to be a good look on you.

We get it, we’re all busy people. We have responsibilities and people to take care of, and we don’t always have time to take care of our favorite sneakers. However, it doesn’t have to take that much time at all. In this article, we’ll show you six easy ways to care for your sneakers to make sure that they don’t smell:

1. Give Your Sneakers Some Air
When you’re done with your sneakers for the day, make sure they get some air. The inside of your sneakers are damp and dark, and that’s exactly what the stinky bacteria like. By leaving them out to dry, you will prevent the germs from growing and spreading, which can prevent it from smelling like old cheese.

2. Give Your Sneakers A Break
Wearing the same sneakers too often will make the shoes more likely to smell. You have to give your trusty sneakers a break from time to time. If you have more than one pair of sneakers, try swapping between them so that they have an extra day to dry.

3. Utilize Cedar Blocks Or Baking Soda
Cedar blocks absorb the yucky smells of your shoes very well. Grab a couple blocks and put one in each shoe when you’re not using them. You can clean the inside of your sneakers with baking soda to get rid of the stains and germs as well.

4. Keep Your Tootsies Squeaky Clean
It’s a fact that a stinky foot will make your sneakers stinky as well. So if you’re having problems with smelly sneakers, the problem may very well be your feet. You need to clean your feet with soap and dry them before putting them on, as that will make sure that the shoes aren’t soaked with stinkiness, to begin with.

5. See Your Dermatologist
Some medical conditions will make your feet smell differently. If you wash your feet often and they are still abnormally smelly, it might be a good idea to pay your dermatologist—the skin doctor—a visit. Skin conditions like hyperhidrosis or even a toenail fungus could be the cause of your stinky feet.

6. Kill The Bacteria
The final thing you can do is sanitize and kill all the germs in the shoes. One of the ways you can do this is by using a UV sanitizer box to put your shoes in. Try putting them in there for a few hours and see if there’s any difference.

You don’t have to do this with smelly sneakers only, as they are all quick and easy ways to keep your shoes clean. This way, you can enjoy the best looking sneakers that don’t smell, and you can rock them whenever you want to without worrying about stinking up the room if you have to take your shoes off.

Sell Sneakers for Cash - 5 Iconic Sneakers that Every Sneakerhead Needs in Their Collection
Written by Gabriel S. on Dec 15th 2018
Sneaker culture has been around for a while now, and there are always new shoes that every serious collector needs in their collection. It’s fair to say that the Nike Air Force Ones are a must for any true collector. The question is, which one?

There are hundreds of different lines of Air Force Ones, and the price of a standard line differs drastically from the limited edition ones. Instead of focusing on the specific lines of sneakers, we will be focusing on the entire model as a whole.

With that said, here are five essential shoe models that every serious sneakerhead needs to have in their collection:

Adidas Originals Stan Smith
Stan Smiths are the Big Daddy of all casual sneakers. They have been around since the sixties, and they remain incredibly popular today. That says a lot about the shoe line, as not many models have survived that long. The classic white leather upper, rubber outsole, and signature green Adidas Stripes are among the most iconic footwear looks.

The Stan Smiths hold a place in the Guinness World Record for being the most sold sneakers in the world with over 50 million pairs and counting. There are tons of different limited edition Stan Smiths as well, for example, the “Kermit the Frog” and the “Happy 420” are some of the most sought-after ones, and they can cost up to $300.

Nike Air Max 1
The Air Max Ones are another one of Nike’s staple models. They have been around since 1987, and the iconic Air Max cushioning under the foam midsole gives the model the best comfort out of all the more casual Nike models.

There are other Air Maxes that are incredibly popular in the market as well, such as the Air Max 90, Air Max 95, Air Max 97, and of course, the coveted VaporMax. The Nike Air Max is also a super popular model among celebrities as well, as indicated by the ad campaign that featured John McEnroe, Bo Jackson, and Michael Jordan.

Nike Flyknit Racer
The Flyknit Racer is one of Nike’s most innovative shoe models to date. Thanks to the patented Flyknit technology, these shoes are incredibly light and comfortable. Ever since the release in 2012, the model has always been in development. The Flyknit Chukka released in 2013 is still highly valued by sneakerheads all around the world.

Vans Sk8-Hi
Vans’ Sk8-Hi remains the most iconic skate shoes ever, even though it was first released over 40 years ago. The black fabric, ankle-height, and white side stripe are comparably as iconic as the green stripes on the Stan Smith. Vans have always had a place in the hearts of many members of the extreme sports community. BMXers, skateboarders, and even roller skaters share a love for the Sk8-Hi and its sibling model, the Old Skool.

PUMA Suede
Although the brand has lost some of its popularity throughout the years, Puma is still a highly valued brand in the sneakerhead community. The iconic Walt Frazier’s Suede design practically kickstarted the basketball sneaker craze before Jordans were ever a thing.

Another moment that propelled the model into the legendary status that it has today. Even long after that, the Suede’s are still iconic shoes in the hip-hop community. In the early 90’s many emcees, DJs, rappers, and athletes rocked these proudly.

How to Keep Your White Sneakers Clean
Written by Gabriel S. on Dec 8th 2018
White sneakers can be really nice-looking; they’re classic and go with almost every outfit. If you’ve ever bought white sneakers, you know by now that they can get dirty pretty fast. Here are some hacks to keeping your sneakers clean

White Nail Polish
Apply some white nail polish over scratches to cover them. Conceal those pesky scuffs that do nothing but collect dirt.

All-Purpose Cleaner
Clean your white sneakers as often as possible. Your local grocery store will have some kind of all-purpose cleaner that can be used with paper towels, a sponge, and a toothbrush to remove dirt and scuffs.

White Vinegar
Using a damp washcloth with less than a teaspoon of vinegar can help clean white suede or leather shoes. Use dabbing motions to avoid ruining the texture of the sneaker and be sure to rinse the washcloth with water and wipe over again to get rid of the rest of the vinegar.

Toothbrush
Use a non-gel based whitening toothpaste and put it on an old toothbrush. Dip your toothbrush in warm water and start brushing away the dirt. If some spots don't come off, dot them with toothpaste and simply brush them off. Toothbrushes alone can be good to help clean those hard-to-reach spots!

Wet Wipes
If you carry wet wipes around with you, it’s good to get the stuff off as quickly as you can to prevent staining. It left for too long, it could penetrate into the fabric, making it harder to remove later.

Storage
It’s best to keep your white kicks out of the sun to prevent discoloration. Store them in a cool, dark place indoors when you’re not wearing them.

Baby Shampoo for Oil Stains
With a very gentle shampoo, such as baby shampoo, mixed with warm water you can gently wipe an oil stain away with an old toothbrush or a rag.

Re-Lace
Remove your laces completely and soak them in detergent and warm water. Just changing the laces alone can make your shoes look good as new.

3 Tips on How to Store Your Sneakers
Written by Gabriel S. on Dec 1st 2018
No matter how expensive your prized sneakers are, they are prone to fading, as well as wear and tears. And even the most expensive and rarest of shoe models can lose most of their value if they start to lose their original looks. To keep your sneakers in mint condition for as long as possible, you will need to know how to properly store them. In this article, we’ll give you 3 tips on how to store your sneakers so that they look fresh for as long as possible.

Come up with a system

Having a system to help you find your shoes easily is the first thing that you need to do when looking to store your shoes. Some people like to arrange their sneakers by brand while others like to sort them by year. It’s up to you how you want to manage your collection, as long as you can have access to the shoes that you want quickly and easily, then it’s a good system.

Keep your boxes

The box that the sneakers come in is a great container for your shoes. It’s proven that sneakers fit in those boxes, meaning that you don’t risk spending money unnecessarily on shoe shelves that might not work very well. Shoe boxes are made to be stacked on top of each other, so you can organize your shoes in a way that’s easy for you. Instead of leaving your shoes to be faded by the light, moisture, and air, keeping them in a closed box can help to keep the colors as fresh and vibrant as the first day you got them.

Don’t forget to clean them before putting them in the box though, as you could forget and the dust and dirt could seep into the fabric when you leave it there for too long. This will make the stain much harder to clean, making it a real pain to deal with.

Write some notes on the boxes

If it’s not an exclusive box, you can simply write the date or model right on the side of the box for easy organization. You can even print out a photo of the shoe model and stick it on the side of the box. This way, you don’t have to take down the entire stack of shoe boxes just to see which one was on the top. Opening and closing the box too often can have a similar effect as leaving the sneakers out in the open.

By being able to see clearly which shoes are in which box, you can spend a lot less time going through the boxes to choose the sneakers you want to wear, this is good for both you and the shoes. You can also note when the shoes should be cleaned on the boxes as well, so it helps to keep you even more organized with your aftercare process.

How to Prepare Your Jordans For Sale

How to Prepare Your Jordans For Selling

Michael Jordan is one of the greatest basketball players of all time and everyone knows his name. He is an influential champion of shoe culture for most. Since 1985, Air Jordan sneakers have been special to many, and this silhouette of a man jumping is the honor for such a world-renowned name brand.

Air Jordans are undeniably some of the most recognizable shoes in the world, with what began as standard Nike high-tops eventually evolved into daring designs with every new generation of Air Jordans. If you have a pair that you’d like to trade in for cash, read on:

Prepare Your Jordans For Sale

There are ways to clean your shoes without altering the color of them. The answer is baby wipes! Grab a pack of baby wipes and wipe down any marks on your shoes. If this doesn't work, there are tons of ways to clean your shoes to prepare them for sale. The shop will check the general condition of the whole shoe, so make sure that they are ready for speculation.

Clean White Jordans

Wipe down your Jordans regularly with a dry cleaning rag to remove all loose dust and moisten the clean side of the rag with some water to wipe off the stuck dirt and other residues. A few drops of dish soap on a wet rag can also be enough to wipe down your Jordans.

This is a more mild way to clean them without damaging them. A toothbrush dipped in a paste solution of 3 tablespoons of bleach and 1 tablespoon of water scrubbed across your Jordans can whiten them. Dip a cleaning rag into the paste and scrub over any leftover residue on the sneakers. Wipe down the sneakers with a damp cleaning rag and allow them to air dry.

Other Things

Keeping your shoe boxes can truly increase the price of your sale. You can get more money for your used sneakers just by having the original box makes the shoes more desirable. The buyer will look at them like they’re an official piece of merchandise, not someone’s second hands.

If you have the original receipt of purchase, that’s even better. That way the shop employee can get an idea of what they’re worth.

How to Hand-Clean and Machine-Wash Your Sneakers
Written by Gabriel S. on Nov 17th 2018
How to clean dirty sneakers in the washing machine

If you have a dirty pair of sneakers that you want to clean, we have a way to make it easier for you. By cleaning it in a washing machine, you don’t have to waste time sitting down and scrubbing your shoes. Here’s how you do it.

What You Need:
A washing machine
Liquid detergent—read our guide to find the best
3 tablespoons of baking soda
A pillowcase or wash bag
A sneaker brush cleaner
Several towels

A Step-by-Step Guide
1. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons worth of baking soda on each sneaker you’re cleaning and leave it overnight and wipe it off in the morning.

2. Take out the shoelaces and put them in a washing bag and place it in the washer. Use a toothbrush or a shoe cleaner brush to remove the dirt from the shoes as much as possible.

3. Once both the shoes are clean, throw them in the washer with 4 to 6 clean towels to balance out the washing load and prevent the shoes from bumping and slamming against the washing tank.

4. Pour mild liquid detergent in and start the washer on delicate cycle. This should take around 30 to 40 minutes to finish.

5. Take the sneakers out from the washer and leave them out to air dry. Don’t expose them to the sun or use the drying machine, as the heat can damage the surface of the sneakers.

How to get the best clean:

Use Baking Soda
Baking soda helps to get rid of stubborn stains and odor.

Use a wash bag
Shoelaces tend to tangle up in the washer. A washing bag helps to prevent that from happening. You’ll thank us for this, trust us.

Use liquid detergent
Powdered detergent can get stuck to the sneakers, so you want to use a liquid one.

What type of shoes you can’t put into a washing machine
Shoes made of these materials can’t be put into a washing machine, as it will damage the shoes permanently.
Leather or dress Shoes
Suede
Rubber boots or wellies

Bonus tips on how to unyellow your sneakers
Old sneakers, especially the white ones, tend to turn yellow with age. This happens because of the oxidation and grime from daily wearing. The first thing you need to keep in mind is to never use bleach, as that can damage the natural color of the sneakers. Instead, use mild abrasive cleaning products (or even dish soap) and cleaning them by hand is your best bet. Your sneakers are valuable pieces of fashion that you want to keep as fresh for as long as possible.

Here are the steps to hand-clean your sneakers.

Step 1
Mix one cup of warm water with one squirt of mild dish detergent in a bowl to make an effective and safe cleaning solution.

Step 2
Wet an old toothbrush in the soap solution and brush the yellowed sneakers in a circular motion then wipe off the excess moisture. If the solution is too weak, add more dish soap slowly.

Step 3
Use a damp cloth to wipe off the excess detergent. Make sure to not expose the shoes to water directly, or use a cloth that’s too wet. Use a clean piece of cloth to wipe off the excess moisture.

Step 4
Use about a pea-sized amount of a non-gel whitening toothpaste and rub it into the brush so that it seeps into the bristles.

Step 5
Brush off any remaining yellow grime off the shoes and rinse it off with a damp cloth, dry it with another piece of cloth and air dry it.

How to Make The Most ROI on Your Sneakers
Written by Gabriel S. on Nov 11th 2018
Reselling Sneakers

The demand for brand name designer shoes is increasing every day. They are getting quite expensive, and it might be better to buy them online or from a reseller. Most people will go looking for designer items online. A lot are buying designer items at promotional prices, then reselling them for profit. If you have a few pairs to spare, try getting some money for them! Here are some tips to get the most out of reselling your shoes:

Selling
Before you can even set a price for your merchandise, you need to understand what you are
trying to sell. Is there anything particularly exclusive or special about the pair you have? What colors does it come in? What size are they? Who designed them? These are all things that will impact the value of the shoe.

Resale Value
The simple economic concept of supply and demand controls the value of your shoe. If there
isn’t much demand, the resale value will be pretty low. If your sneakers are particularly hard to
find and people are dying to get their hands on it, demand is high and thus the resale price will be, too. Make sure you ensure you don’t overvalue or undervalue your shoes by looking into market value and price of them.

Clean Them
People are concerned about the cleanliness of used shoes. It can significantly impact their
market value. A pair of shoes that look like new will be a lot more attractive. Maybe spend a few bucks to get them deodorized and clean them well.

Pictures
People are highly influenced by what they see, so your picture quality is poor, people won’t
be as likely to purchase your shoes. Take high-quality pictures at different angles - the shoes
from the top, sides, and bottom angles, and even the box and tags. Be descriptive and point
out any scuffs or defects.

Timing
If you’ve gotten your hands on a newly-released pair, wait a bit before reselling them. There are
lots of people you will be competing with. Instead, give it some time. Start promoting yours when your shoes of the same size start selling out. You are more likely to get a higher resale price than you would have earlier.

Get passionate
Great salespeople are those who are passionate about what they are selling. Follow other people who are passionate about sneakers and stay on top of trends. Upload photos, OOTDs, and other things about your own sneakers so people know that you’re passionate. You want to build a reputation for caring about fashion trends and shoes, not some reseller that only cares about profit.

How Some Sneakers Maintain Thier Value
Written by Gabriel S. on Jul. 8th 2018
The shoe enthusiasts who enjoy collecting and exchanging sneakers are commonly referred to as “sneakerheads.” Frequently, their collections include several Nike Dunks. Of course, this is not surprising, since Michael Jordan has been one of the initiators of the sneaker collecting crusade.

The Nike Air Jordan became popular upon release in the 1980s. From that time onwards, other brands have been designing and exploiting the popularity of rare collectibles sneakers.

Sneaker aficionados enjoy showcasing their collections, with many building personalized shelves for the express purpose of display. Original boxes are never thrown away, and they can describe any rare and prized shoe down to the laces.

Shoe collections aren’t just for ladies. Men can be crazy about kicks, too. The ten shoes below are just a few of the pairs that sneakerheads would drool over.

1. Nike Air Mag
The 1985 movie “Back to the Future” popularized this sleek, futuristic shoe. Sneaker enthusiasts make eyes at these kicks, craving a pair to be the prize jewel of their collection.

2. Vintage Chucks
Converse is a beloved brand, remaining in demand year after year. Today, crisp, white pairs are popular. They match everything and everyone and make a great addition to your collection. For a collector’s piece, look for a vintage pair - an original deadstock from the 1960’s if you can.

3. Air Jordan 1 'Jeter'
Whether you cheer for the Yankees or not, you have to admit these dark blue kicks are pretty slick. The gold accents add a little something extra and can really pull a look together.

4. Adidas Yeezy 750 Boost
These suede sneakers was the first Adidas kicks designed by Kanye West. The first 2015 release sold 9,000 pairs, and until this day, these are still becoming more valuable.

5. Adidas Stan Smiths
A popular choice for the summer, Adidas Stan Smiths go well with everything. Pick up a vintage pastel pair to really bump up your collector’s game.

6. “Banned” Nike Air Jordan 1 Black/Red
Back in the day, there was a rumor that Michael Jordan stubbornly chose to rock these sneakers at a game, even though the NBA had “banned” them for being too showy and against uniform. Despite the fact that this rumor cannot be validated, we all know that things that are taboo seem much more appealing.

7. Nike Air Jordan Oregon Ducks Player Exclusive
Nike often designs custom shoes for sports teams. The Oregon Ducks are especially striking. If you get the opportunity to get a hold of a Player Exclusive pair, you won’t regret it.

8. Nike Air Jordan 5 Blackout Sample
People say that there are no more than 20 pairs of this particular sneaker in the world. Since it was never officially released, obtaining a pair of these is especially admirable.

9. Nike Miami Court Low
There were some low-top basketball shoes too. Back in the day, people looked for this simple pair. Grab a pair to class up the retro side of your collection.

10. Louis Vuitton x Kanye West Jasper Sneaker
This particular sneaker was one of West’s early designs. His partnership with one of the biggest fashion names in the world gave us this rare find. As it becomes even more obscure, it will become more valuable.
A Brief History of Sneakers
Written by Gabriel S. on Jul. 15th 2018
Sneakers have quite a history. In the late 1700s, there was a rubber-soled foot covering called plimsolls. These were a pretty early prototype of shoes though - they didn’t even have left and right sides. By the late 1800s, a company called the U.S. Rubber Company released a shoe with a more pleasant fit. The soles were still rubber, but the tops were made of canvas. They called these shoes Keds. Just a few years later, Keds began to be manufactured widely. The term sneakers came to be because they were so muted, that someone could sneak around.

The same year that Keds went into mass production, Marquis Converse manufactured the first basketball-specific shoe, naming it the Converse All-Stars. An Indiana basketball celebrity named Chuck Taylor soon personally endorsed the shoe, and people began referring to them as Chuck Taylor All-Stars. Until this day, these shoes hold the place of the best-selling basketball shoes.

Sneakers Went Worldwide
In 1924, sneakers began to be popular throughout the world. This is when Adi Dassler, a German, decided to start a brand that he named after himself. Thus, Adidas was born. The name became well recognized, soon becoming the favorite athletic shoe. Jessie Owens, an Olympic athlete, wore Adidas when he earned four gold medals in 1936. Puma was a brand that soon rose as well in the hands of Rudi, Adi’s brother.

Back in those days, athletic shoes were used for sports. In the past 60 or so years, though, it became a trend to simply wear them for fashion. After James Dean’s character in Rebel WIthout a Cause, it became even more widespread.

Expensive Updates
By the 1980s, Michael Jordan had pledged to endorse Nike’s Air Jordans. Now, nearly everyone recognizes Air Jordans, regardless of whether or not they are a sneakerhead. Though Jordan’s contract with Nike has long come to an end, these shoes remain best sellers. The competition among sneaker manufacturers has intensified, leading to each wanting to have something special. Some may completely redesign the sneaker, some may make it more comfortable, or even remove something, like shoelaces. Soon, sneakers for every purpose began hitting the market. Whether you play football, run, skateboard, or cross train - there is a sneaker for you.

There are constantly updates when it comes to sneaker technology. Some produce their sneakers with small pockets of air for more cushioning, or insert springs into the sole of the shoe to reduce the force that is exerted on your foot as you come down. Such great shoe technology is not without a price. These shoes can cost over a hundred bucks for a single pair!

Why Chunky Sneakers are now so popular?
Written by Gabriel S. on Jul. 23rd 2018
The footwear trend over the past few years has moved from basketball shoes, to sleek runners, and now chunky sneakers. In the past, kids who wore chunky shoes to school may have been teased. What makes them so attractive now? Read on to find out.

Though it may seem like a recent trend, chunky sneakers have actually lowkey been a thing since the late 1990’s. There have been quite a few releases of chunky basketball sneakers. Particularly memorable were a couple Jordans and that iconic Nike Air Uptempo with massive soles and big tops. DC sneakers and other skate shoes were pretty widespread for quite some time as well.

The grunge look is coming back, and as ripped jeans and leather jackets make their entrance into our closets again, chunky shoes to as well. Low-top Vans made a comeback, and sleek Adidas runners took a backseat to be replaced with Stan Smith shoes.

The real marker of the chunky sneakers movement was the introduction of Kanye West’s Wave Runner 700, which sported exaggerated soles on big uppers as opposed to the slim upper that people had loved on the Yeezy 350. As Wave Runners became all the rage, other chunky shoes began to benefit. The oversized sneaker movement had begun. A similar effect was observed after West released the first Yeezy 350 V1 in a turtle dove color, which led to the Adidas NMD and Ultra Boost models rising in sales momentum.

As the more renowned sneakers sales grew, other similar models - the Nike Vapormax, for example - started to get their feet on the ground. Luxury brands started to watch and observe. The luxury sneakers movement of this era began when Balenciaga started promoting their Triple S model on places like Hypebeast and with influencers such as Luka Sabbat.

As Balenciaga’s sneaker popularity grew, other luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Dior followed their leads and soon announced their own chunky shoes. We can see here that high fashion does take cues from streetwear. In turn, the streets are beginning to acknowledge luxury sneakers being worn in a place that used to only see Jordans and Vans.

How to resell your Sneakers for Maximum Value
Written by Gabriel S. on Jul. 31st 2018
The community of sneakerheads is growing every day, and demand for pairs that are hard to find is growing. If you’ve got a couple pairs that you neither want to wear nor keep in your collection, you could make quite a fair amount reselling them. You may find it a good side hustle, or maybe even your main source of income! If you’d like to give it a shot, read on for some tips to maximize resale value of your shoes.

Understand what you’re selling
Before you can even set a price for your merchandise, you need to understand what you are trying to sell. Is it particularly difficult to find? Are there only a few pairs in the world? What colors are available? What size are they? Who designed them? These are all things that will impact the value of the shoe.

Understand sneaker resale value
The simple economical concept of supply and demand controls the value of your shoe. If there isn’t much demand, the resale value will be pretty low. If your sneakers are particularly hard to find and people are dying to get their hands on it, demand is high and thus resale price will be, too. Make sure you ensure you don’t overvalue or undervalue your shoes by studying the market.

Make sure your shoes are clean
People are concerned about the cleanliness of used shoes. It can significantly impact their market value. A dirty, scuffed up pair won’t be nearly as attractive as a clean one that looks like new. Give your shoes some loving and clean them up. Some materials may require different types of cleaning, so make sure you do some research on the best way to clean them.

Take beautiful pictures
People are highly influenced by what they see. If your pictures are of poor quality, people won’t be as likely to purchase your shoe. Take high quality pictures at different angles - the shoes from the top, sides, and bottom angles, and even the box and tags. Describe it well and point out any scuffs or defects. Keep it as professional as possible - don’t post a shot of them on your feet or holding it up in your hands. These small things could get you a higher resale price.

Wait for the right time
If you’ve gotten your hands on a newly-released pair, wait a bit before reselling them. There are lots of people you will be competing with. Instead, give it some time. After all the shoes of the same size are sold out on other resale sites, start to promote yours. You are more likely to get a higher resale price than you would have earlier. Popular shoes are definitely great for resale, but even if you haven’t got any, normal sneakers can earn you quite a bit as well.

Get passionate
Great salespeople are those who are passionate about what they are selling. To get the most out of your sneakers, you need to get involved. Follow other people who are passionate about sneakers and stay on top of trends. Upload photos, OOTDs, and other things about your own sneakers so people know that you’re passionate. You want to build a reputation of a sneakerhead, not some reseller that only cares about profit. People are much more willing to trust those that are passionate about the same things they are - in this case, sneakers.

3 Classic Sneakers That Everyone Should Have in Your Collection
Written by Gabriel S. on Aug. 5th 2018
In this day and age, the excitement and hype of a particular shoe can make it worth a lot more than the style, material, and other things about it. Sneaker enthusiasts have changed a lot since the first sneakerhead movement. Years ago, before we were all hyped for the new YEEZY, there were just a couple classics that were the cornerstones of a sneaker collection.

As you learn more about the history of sneakers and of each classic design, you will find yourself with a heightened admiration and respect for the progression of sneaker culture and those who enthuse in it.

If you want to start building your own sneaker collection, here are a few classics that you should definitely include:

Adidas Originals - Stan Smith
Anyone would recognize this shoe. It has an iconic design - white leather uppers, rubber insole, and green Adidas tab. Though many recognize it as the 1971 Stan Smith, it was actually originally released in 1963 in honor of Robert Haillet, a French tennis player. Later on, it was popularized when it was rebranded as the Stan Smith.

This sneaker is extremely popular, sported by people from David Beckham to the girl down the block. In 1998, the Stan Smith earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records after 22 million pairs were sold. By 2016, the number had rocketed to 50 million.

Though the history of this sneaker is fascinating, you don’t need to know all of the details to appreciate it. It can be appreciated simply as a beautiful sneaker that can be paired with a myriad of outfits. Trendsetters and anyone in the general public can agree that the shoe is a real classic. If you are worried about not being able to style sneakers, fear not - this one goes with everything.

Nike Air Max 1
The Nike Air Max 1 was introduced over 30 years ago. Tinker Hatfield, the designer, drew inspiration from the Centres George Pompidou in Paris. This complex building takes elements that are usually on the inside of a building and puts them outside. In the same way, Hatfield made the Air Max cushioning a major visual element. This element stayed constant in all the other Air Max renditions that came later.

Besides looking dope, the Air Max is also incredibly comfortable. The red-and-white classic is sure to draw eyes. This sneaker played a major part in bringing Nike to where it is today and making it one of the most recognized shoe brands in the world.

Nike Flyknit Racer
Flyknit technology took more than ten years to develop, but finally in 2012, the Flyknit Racer was released. There were several other editions of the Flyknit released later on, but the Racer is still probably the most well-known. In the same year as it was released, the shoe was listed by the Time magazine as one of the best inventions in the world, along with inventions such as Google Glass.

This sneaker is available in a variety of colors, from “Oreo” to “Multicolor.” Beyond the aesthetic quality, however, the Flyknit is well-loved for its performance qualities. One of the reasons it was developed in the beginning was because many runners longed for a shoe that was like a sock - something they could run in to great effect without being distracted. The Racer met those needs perfectly. Trendsetters and Olympians alike can agree on one thing - Flyknit technology is truly something incredible.
How to Organize Your Sneakers
Written by Gabriel S. on Aug. 14th 2018
You may have had a pair or two of rare sneakers and think you’ve got your hobby under control. Before you know it, you’ve got a sneaker display case, special cleaners, and an area of your room dedicated to this very purpose. Your case is full and you’ve still got unopened boxes underneath your bed with shoes that you’re just itching to put on display.

Between your mom’s scoldings that you really shouldn’t have bought so many and your non-sneakerhead best friend’s suggestion to throw some away, you may be wondering if you should get rid of just a few. Why throw out pieces of your prized collection when you could simply organize it?

If you’re looking for a better way to keep track of your sneaker collection, you’ve come to the right place. Here are some tips on organizing them:

1 - Do what works for you
Getting your hands on a pair of retro Air Jordans is the easy part. It takes a lot more time to figure out how to keep track of all of them. There won’t be one method that works for everyone. Some people choose to wear their sneakers, while some choose to keep them safe and sound in their cases. Some have to make their collections fit in small apartments, while others have a designated sneaker room in their house. Rather than follow a method that won’t work for you, find one that suits your needs in terms of both usage and space.

2 - Categorize
Don’t bother putting the dirty generic pair of Converse you wear every day up on the shelf. It will always look worn, dirty, and stained next to your prized rare finds. Separate your everyday shoes from the ones that hold a special place in your heart. Give them both their own homes.

3 - Try vertical storage
You don’t want your prized shoes to be lost somewhere in a messy sneaker pile, do you? Give vertical storage a try. Not only will this save you floor space, but you’ll be able to admire them more easily, too. If you’re clenching your teeth at how much you think it’ll cost, at least do some research and look at your options - it probably doesn’t cost as much as you think it does.

4 - Use lasting containers
You may love it when a pair of sneakers arrives in a well-worn box, particularly if it houses a vintage pair that you have been looking for. If you really want them to last, however, take them out of those boxes and put them in storage containers. These will ensure that they are protected from dust, moisture, or any other number of things that they are vulnerable to in a normal box.

5 - Pick up some Zip-Loc
You may not like the idea of putting your favorite pair into a Zip-Loc bag like leftover Thanksgiving turkey. If you want to slow down the yellowing of the soles, however, you may want to give it a try. The oxygen in the air oxidizes the material, making them dingy over time. You can slow this down by keeping the air out.

That being said, it isn’t good to permanently store them in plastic bags, either. Open them up and allow them to air out every few months so that the chemicals in the plastic don’t damage the shoe.

Though this method may result in a less aesthetic sneaker display, it’s a great way to increase the lifespan of your shoe and keep it in good quality. If you’re looking to keep a pair until it becomes a collector’s item, it really can’t hurt.
5 Things A Non-Sneakerhead Would Not Understand
Written by Gabriel S. on Aug. 21st 2018
Stamps are great and all, but they’re not as swanky as sneakers. You can’t match collecting cards to your outfit, either. No matter how cool sneaker collecting is, however, a lot of people still misunderstand sneakerheads, thinking that they simply have a very expensive, unhealthy obsession. To make things easier for those of us who are still adamantly going to love showcasing our favorite sneakers, here’s a list of things that non-sneakerheads don’t understand. Go ahead and send it to your closest non-sneakerhead friend!

We have a lot (A LOT) of sneakers
Most sneakerheads don’t just have three or four pairs of sneakers. It’s more common to have tens, hundreds, even thousands. Most people don’t understand this. You’ve only got two feet. How many shoes do you really need? Not to mention the space that you’ll need to store them. Well see, a lot of sneakerheads have entire rooms or areas dedicated to their collection. If they aren’t quite there yet, it’s probably a future goal.

We’re willing to rough it to get our hands on a pair of sneakers
Ever seen those people camping out on the sidewalk to get their hands on the new iPhone? Yeah, we wouldn’t do that for a phone. But we’d do it for sneakers. Sometimes it isn’t just a night, either. It could be several days. All we need is a sleeping bag and some snacks. The reward of a special pair of shoes is worth it to us.

We sometimes name our shoes
Some people name their cars. Some name their guitars. Us? We name our shoes. It may be a perfectly non-cringey name, or it may be an extraordinarily nerdy one that would be painful to explain. We know the exact model and the exact year that shoe was released, of course, but we’re still going to address each pair endearingly because God knows how much effort we went through to get them.

We’re willing to drop ridiculous amounts of money on an old pair
A $4 boba tea may seem expensive to a sneakerhead, but a $1000 vintage Air Jordan may seem like an absolute steal. Honestly, we probably aren’t going to wear them. Why would we want to get them cracked or dirty? No, no. These are for showcasing. You may think it’s crazy, and trust us, sometimes we think so too. That’s not going to stop us from frequently checking the resellers, though.

We don’t mind wearing sneakers to literally any event
Yes, that includes our wedding. Mom may be slightly irate about it, but it isn’t her life. Consider yourself lucky if you’re getting hitched with someone who loves and even appreciates your secrets, quirks, and most of all, your sneaker obsession. Let’s be real - who’s even going to remember you wore sneakers on your big night? It’s your night - you do you.
6 Things To Think About Before Purchasing Your Next Pair of Basketball Sneakers
Written by Gabriel S. on Aug. 28th 2018
Picking out a new pair of basketball shoes is progressively becoming more complicated. Technology in the industry is more advanced than ever, and shoe manufacturers are continuously releasing new models. Having to consider so many factors and look at all your options can result in a pretty confusing experience. This guide will simplify your shoe shopping experience so that you can filter through all the pairs you don’t need and zone in on that one perfect pair.

STYLE
When it comes to functionality, style is the last thing you should think about. However, the fact is this is going to be one of the major deciding factors for you. That also means that if you choose based on this factor and this factor only, you may very well end up with an ill-fitting pair that will look incredible but won’t help your game. Consider style, but don’t let the bright advertisements, endorsements, and incredible look be the only reason you buy the shoe.

DURABILITY
This is definitely an important one. You want a shoe that lasts, not something that wears out within a few wears. The era of the lightweight shoe is here, and it is because of this reason that you may find it a little hard to find something sturdy and durable. However, it’s possible, and the following factor will help you determine whether a shoe will last or not.

MATERIALS
The biggest thing that impacts a shoe’s durability is its materials. A plastic-based synthetic will probably last a lot longer and take a lot more damage, but raw materials will give you that comfortable, luxe feeling. There are lots of material options out there, so the choice is yours.

FIT
The fit of the shoe is another major consideration. The more recent sneakers are often made to be narrow, which can work for someone with average or narrow feet, but won’t be comfortable for anyone with wider feet. This is where those plastic-based synthetics can become a world of hurt. Sometimes you can solve the problem by just going up a size, but that may affect the rest of your fit. If you’ve got wider feet, you may want to opt for a raw material, as it will have more give in the sides and stretch to fit your feet in time.

OUTSOLE
It isn’t that difficult to find a sneaker that will help you get some traction, but a sneaker that will let you play on a range of different surfaces may be more challenging. Many performance models were built with formal basketball courts in mind, but back in the day, basketball shoes were made to work in a bunch of different places. Take some time to assess the outsole’s thickness, softness, and pattern before you make your decision. Soft rubber usually means that the shoe is meant for indoor use, but reinforced or strong rubber can work on concrete and other surfaces.

CUSHIONS
The last and equally as important consideration you should keep in mind as you look for a basketball shoe is the cushions. Most basketball shoes in the market have integrated modern technology in one way or another, and there are quite a few choices of different cushions. We recommend either foam cushions or air-based cushions.

What makes these two different is responsiveness. Air-based cushions typically give a little bit of your energy back. Foam cushions may be just as responsive in the beginning, but they will not retain that bounce.

It really depends how often you get a new pair. If you are investing in a pair to use for a year or more, opt for air-cushions. If you cop a new pair every few months, a foam cushion will do just fine.

5 Of The Most Stupidly Expensive Sneakers To Ever Sell
Written by Gabriel S. on Sep. 10th 2018
Reselling sneakers has become one of those extraordinarily profitable side hustles. There are so many people picking apart second-hand markets and keeping an eye on online sellers just to get their hands on a first edition pair of sneakers. It’s always a risky market though - limited editions come back for some time, more shoes are produced than anticipated. Once in awhile though, you run across a certain sneaker so limited or so wanted that people are willing to shell out thousands of dollars for them. Let’s go on an adventure and take a look at some of the most crazily expensive sneakers that have ever been sold.

Nike Mag 2016: $26,000
Every Back to the Future fan will know this one. Several decades ago, creative minds came up with the idea of lighted auto-lacing shoes. Cinematic effects made it come to life on screen - it took close to three decades for technology to make it happen in front of us. The Nike Mag 2016 had a production run of only 100. They were distributed with a raffle to a clamoring crowd. It’s so in-demand yet so limited that these sneakers are some of the most yearned for among sneakerheads. $26,000 is no joke though, so unless you’ve got a trust fund, a hefty savings account, or one extra kidney, try to settle with drooling over them from afar.

Michael Jordan's Converse Fastbreak (worn at the Olympics): $190,373
Back in 1984, Michael Jordan made his debut in the NBA. This was the same year that he competed at the Olympics hosted in Los Angeles and won gold. Jordan was still a newcomer to the game and was not yet sponsored by Nike. He had been wearing a pair of Converse Fastbreaks - leftover from his college sponsorship. Years later in 2017, that particular pair, signed by Jordan and said to be worn at the Olympics was auctioned off. After quite a battle, the winner took the shoes home for $190,373. Until this day, this remains the highest someone has ever paid for a pair of game-worn shoes.

DJ Khaled x Air Jordan 3 “Grateful”: $25,000
Nike’s Jordan brand is frequently responsible for those sky-high sneaker prices. Those classic Flu Game 12s signed went for $104,000. Brand new limited releases often go for upwards of $5,000, even reaching $10,000. One of the priciest limited releases by this brand are the product of DJ Khaled’s partnership with Nike’s Jordan brand, bringing about the “Grateful” Jordan 3s. Just a few months after it was released, people were dropping anywhere from $16,000 to $25,000 to get their hands on a pair.

VLONE x Nike Air Force 1 High: $8,000
Last year, Nike had partnered with VLONE to produce the Air Force 1. Unfortunately, prior to drop, their partnership was ended as A$AP Bari, the founder of VLONE, was accused of sexual assault. The low-cut pair was soon selling for over $1,500, but it was the high-cut release a bit later that really got people going. Sneakerheads say that a mere 20 were produced and raffled in Nike Paris. The high-cut pair is going for around $8,000.

Supreme x Louis Vuitton Sport Sneaker: $2,500
Louis Vuitton certainly seems to be trying to make a name for themselves in terms of sneakers and streetwear. When we really look at it however, we are still pretty amazed that someone was willing to pay $2,500 for a pair of sneakers that resulted from their partnership with Supreme. It isn’t a particularly pretty pair, which truly goes to show that oftentimes hype is all a shoe needs to fetch a tidy sum.
How to Take Care of Your Sneaker Collection
Written by Gabriel S. on Sep. 17th 2018
So you’ve got a decent sneaker collection. Between sessions of admiring them, it’s important for you to take good care of them so you can enjoy them for years to come. Here’s how you can take care of your sneaker collection:

As sneakers in your collection add up, it’s easy to neglect taking good care of them. After all, that’s a pretty tough task, keeping track of so many pairs of shoes. We feel you. That being said, if you want to enjoy them for a good long time, you’ll need to take care of them by considering the sunlight, the temperature, and the way you store your sneakers.

If you’ve got absolutely no idea where to start, you’re luckily in the right place. Here’s a basic guide on how to take care of your sneaker collection:

STORAGE
One of the biggest things people forget to consider when it comes to their sneaker collections is storage. Sure, you could have a beautiful wall display full of sneakers, but does it mean your sneakers are exposed to direct sunlight? How’s the room temperature? What about the air? Some cases can showcase your sneakers and make them look amazing, but you won’t get to enjoy them for as long because in time the glue will start breaking down and the shoe will start deteriorating.

Some of the most well-known shoe collectors store their shoes in special bags that keep out sunlight, air, and dust. This is to ensure that even years later, they’ll remain in perfect condition. If you don’t intend to keep yours around for that long, that’s perfectly fine - just try to reduce their exposure anyways. Also ensure that you’ve got shoe inserts in every pair so that it doesn’t go out of shape.

If you’ve got a spare room without too much sunlight, it may be the perfect space to store your shoes. This will ensure that your prize pairs will be around for quite awhile.

CLEANING
Another vital thing you’ll have to remember to increase the lifespan of your shoes is the cleaning process. This is important even for those of you with a smaller collection. You want your shoes to be looking fresh for a time to come, right? Then you’ll have to clean them.

The first thing to note is that you should NEVER toss your shoes into a washing machine. It may seem convenient, especially after getting caught in a shower of rain. However, it’s not going to do much for your shoes in the long run. The glue will loosen up and make your shoes significantly less sturdy. You don’t want your sneakers to be falling apart as you walk through the city, do you?

Clean it by hand, using some water, mild detergent, a soft brush, and a microfiber cloth.

ROTATION
Some of us get attached to a particular pair and wear them day after day until they eventually fall apart. If you want your shoes to last longer however, you’ll want to rotate the pairs you wear. This allows your shoes to decompress and air out on days when you aren’t wearing them, which will do wonders to extend their lifespan.

Store your shoes in a cool, dry place when you aren’t wearing them. After they’ve aired out, you can store them with all the rest. Don’t just toss it into your closet or under your bed - this won’t help them air out or dry properly.

Review
You’ve got to take good care of your sneakers if you want them to last you for some time. Remember to store them properly in a cool, dry place, protecting them from sunlight, dust, and air if possible. Don’t forget to wash them by hand, and never throw them into a washing machine. Rotate the pairs you wear often so that they won’t wear out as quickly.

That’s all there is to it!
5 Mistakes You Make Buying Sneakers
Written by Gabriel S. on Sep. 24th 2018
Not all sneakers are alike. There’s a sneaker for leisurely strolls in the park and a sneaker for serious competitive runners. There’s a sneaker for cross-training and a sneaker for tennis. With all this variety out there, how do you find the right one for you? You’ve got to consider the shape of your foot, the material the shoe is made of, and if you want to look good, even the style.

To keep you from buying the wrong pair, make sure you avoid these common mistakes:

1 - Purchasing the wrong fit
You’re the only one who can determine whether a shoe fits you well or not. A salesperson can recommend, but ultimately, you’re the one wearing them. So put them on, pace around, jog a bit if you want to. Make sure the one you get feels good on your feet.

Another important thing to remember is that you don’t “break in” sneakers. It won’t stretch to fit your foot. You need to purchase one that fits well, or even is a little loose as your feet will swell during exercise.

If your foot has specific needs, consider paying a visit to a podiatrist. They can help you figure out what shoe will fit you the best so you can exercise comfortably.

2 - Neglecting to consider its use
There’s a shoe out there for everything, remember? It isn’t just the style that is different. The fit, the style, the material is going to be different too. It’s crucial for you to choose a shoe that is suited to what you plan to use it for. A particular basketball shoe may look fresh, but you aren’t going to be enjoying its look very much when you’re limping around after a jog.

Don’t forget to think about the sole. Shoes for different activities have different soles. Lifestyle sneaker soles usually aren’t as durable as running sneakers, so if you run in your lifestyle sneakers, you’ll be wearing them out a lot more quickly.

3 - Failing to make use of the salesperson
These people pick up knowledge from working in the shop. Before you go shoe shopping, make sure you know the type of shoes that have fit you well in the past, whether your foot is narrow, wide, or normal, and whether you’re particularly prone to blisters, heel pain, hammertoes, or whatever else. Note whether your ankles swell easily or if the joints in your lower body get swollen and painful. All these things will make a difference in the type of sneaker that is best for you.

At a specialty store, most salespeople will be able to assess your gait and your foot. That evaluation, augmented with the information you can provide, can help them point you in the direction of a shoe that may be right for you.

4 - Constantly switching to new brands
Have you always found Nike sneakers comfortable? Do Reebok cross-training sneakers fit you well? If so, why not stick to the brand? Most companies make all their shoes similarly so there’s a greater chance that you’ll be able to fit several of their models well. Assuming they don’t make a major change to their shoe lasts, it’s better for you to look for a brand you like, then stick with them.

5 - Waiting way too long before replacing your pair
There’s no specific time it takes a shoe to wear out. Quite a few factors are involved - your activity level, the fit, the way you store them, the humidity, and much more. For runners and everyday shoe wearers, the general rule is a new pair every 400 miles.

If you aren’t sure how far you’ve walked in your sneakers, just take a good, hard look at your shoes. Are any parts of the soles particularly worn down? Are your knees or ankles feeling more painful? This may be an indication that your shoes are no longer as supportive as they used to be. If this is the case, it’s about time to get new ones.
How to Make Money Selling Yeezy Sneakers
Written by Gabriel S. on Oct. 1st 2018
Looking for a new side hustle? You should consider reselling Yeezy sneakers. There’s a lot of money to be made in this business, as you could easily make twice or even three times the amount you spent by finding the right buyer on resale sites.

In this day and age, quite a few aspiring business people are hopping into the sneaker resale bus, some even choosing to do it full time. There are some people who have managed to build quite a career on their love for sneakers as well. Take The Sneaker Don, for instance. He’s one of the few teenagers who can say that his clientele consists of people like DJ Khaled and Odell Beckham. In just a short while, he has managed to make over a million dollars in annual sales!

You’ve read the success stories, but if you’re thinking of building a sneaker resale business yourself, you’ll need a lot more than inspiration. The sneaker resale market is definitely volatile. Prices change, trends change, and if you don’t know the right people, you may be losing a lot more than you earn.

So how do you start? By becoming a part of the sneaker game, of course. Here’s what you’ll have to do:

#1 - Become informed
Every entrepreneur begins by really getting to know the industry. You’ve got to know what people want and how much they’ll be willing to pay for it. Spend some time getting acquainted with the market and then pick something to specialize in. For instance, some resellers focus on Nike Jordans, and as in the case of this article, some specialize in Yeezys. When you specialize, you have something focused to learn. You learn more about the brand, figure out the releases that will sell better, and get to know the people looking for or selling those shoes. Build your contacts in the industry. Follow the right Twitter and Instagram pages. Stay current with the news, and keep track of the prices. This will make you an expert, and in this game, the experts are the ones who succeed.

#2 - Grab the right inventory
To sell a product, you need to get your hands on the product. This isn’t a matter of taking a trip to the local sporting goods store. In-demand sneakers sell out, and they sell out fast. A popular method of obtaining inventory is by purchasing online. You could do this on your own, or with a sneaker bot. If you’re doing it on your own, it’s important for you to be agile. Learn where you can get the latest information on a drop. Learn how to navigate the website. You’ll have to cop a few pairs before the thousands of other buyers do, so every single second counts.

A sneaker bot will help you out by filling your cart. This is incredibly helpful if you need to get a good range of shoes in different sizes - all you have to do is proceed to payment.

Remember to pick the right sizes. A lot of resellers choose to stock in common sizes like 9-12. However, there are also people who target smaller or larger sizes to capture that portion of the market. Becoming a niche size seller means you’ll have a smaller group of people buying from you, but they’ll be loyal as it will be hard for them to find their sizes anywhere else.

#3 - Learn some product photography
Humans are visual creatures, so one of the most important things to do when reselling shoes is to learn how to take good product photos. Professional-looking photos make you look legitimate. If all you’ve got are a couple bad camera phone photos, you may come off as someone just looking to rip other people off. That being said, you can use a smartphone to take photos of your products. Just learn some basic product photography to make it look its best. Be sure to include the sole and the tag in the photo so people can see that it’s real. Another good idea is to include your personal card or handle in the photo - this way, people can see that you really have the shoes.

#4 - Price it right
Pricing resale sneakers is both an art and a science. A lot of resellers would rather sell something fast at a lower price than wait for it to appreciate and selling it at a higher price. On one hand, this makes sense - you never know when trends and demand may change and values may fall. On the other hand, you never know when you could earn a lot more just by waiting another month. Honestly, it depends on your personal pricing philosophy and the risk you are willing to take on. Just make sure to make use of StockX and keep track of sneaker resale prices. If you think a rise is coming, you may choose to wait. If the hype is beginning to die, it may be time to get those sneakers out of your hands.
Tips on Cleaning Your Sneakers
Written by Gabriel S. on Oct. 8th 2018
Are your sneakers getting a little dingy? If so, it’s about time to give them a good clean! Don’t worry, you don’t have to pay a fortune to have a specialty cleaner clean your shoes for you. It’s actually pretty easy to clean your shoes in the comfort of your own home! Of course, the way you should wash your shoes will vary depending on the make and material of your shoes, so remember to check the labels and figure out what works best for your shoe before dunking it in a basin of soapy water.

What do I need to know about cleaning my sneakers?

Consider a machine wash. Contrary to popular belief, some canvas sneakers can be machine washed. Some non-canvas sneakers can be too, but be sure to check the labels to make sure or you might end up ruining your shoes. This is a quick and easy way to get your shoes clean. However, it isn’t just a matter of throwing them in the machine with a dash of detergent.

Here are a few tips for machine washing your shoes:

Throw a few towels in to soften the tossing of your shoes.
Remove the laces and use a soft brush or even a toothbrush to brush out any dirt or residue.
Repurpose one of your old pillowcases to put your shoes in as it is washed.
Set the washing machine to a warm cycle for white shoes, and a cold cycle for colors.
Put a dash of vinegar or hydrogen peroxide into the wash to deodorize and disinfect the shoe.
Avoid washing any embellished or decorated shoes.

Opt to hand wash. If your sneakers are embellished, made of a different material, or you’d just like to exercise a little more care, consider hand washing them. You’ve probably already got everything you need. First, start by mixing a small amount of detergent or dish soap with some lukewarm water. Use a soft brush or a toothbrush to scrub the mixture into your shoes. After you’ve scrubbed out every mark or stain, rinse with some water, and pat dry with a rag.

Here are some extra hand washing tips:

Be sure to take the laces out before washing so you can scrub the tongue of the sneaker easily.
Use a bit of solution on a cotton swab to clean the lace holes.
Before putting the solution on the rest of your shoes, use a soft brush or toothbrush to brush out any dirt or residue.
Use delicate shampoo to remove oil stains.
Add some baking powder to your mixture if you are cleaning white shoes.
Avoid this method if you are cleaning suede shoes - you may end up ruining them.

Choose air drying. Air drying is undoubtedly the best method for drying sneakers. When you use heat to dry them, whether in a dryer or on a radiator, you are drying out the rubber and causing your shoes to lose its shape.

It’s a good idea to stuff some paper towels into your shoe to help them dry in their natural shape. Then, you can place them outside in the sun. If your shoes are leather, however, drying them in the shade would be best as they may fade in the sun. You don’t necessarily have to hang them up to dry - propping them up against a surface usually does the job.

Exercise extra care for suede. A suede material can be damaged by water, so if you’ve got suede shoes, be sure to pick up some suede eraser solution at a shoe store. Repurpose an old toothbrush to apply the solution to the shoe, then use a clean soft brush to get rid of any excess solution.

If you can’t manage to find a suede eraser solution, grab some white vinegar from your kitchen and apply the same way. A suede brush would be best, but a rag would do the job as well, especially if you’ve got stains. Don’t forget to use a clean rag to blot any excess left.

Remember - brush in one direction. A circular or back-and-forth motion would ruin the material.

Invest in a leather cleaner. Leather shoes are another type of shoe that need a specific cleaner. If you wear leather shoes, it would be a good idea to invest in a good leather cleaner. All you’ve got to do is use a soft, clean rag to apply it, and there you go! You’ve got a fresh, clean leather shoe.

Tips to Keep Your Sneakers Looking Great
Written by Gabriel S. on Oct. 15th 2018
Everybody loves their sneakers, and it’s only logical that you want to keep them in mint condition for as long as possible. A pair of fresh kicks are the best things that anyone who cares about fashion can ask for, and you need to take good care of your sneakers to make that happen. Not only that they have to look good, but you also can’t feel comfortable walking around in smelly shoes!

Now, unless you’re a pro athlete who gets a new pair of shoe every game, it’s unlikely that you won’t have to learn how to take care of your sneakers. Here are the 7 tips on how to keep your sneakers looking and smelling great at all times!

No. 1 - Spray 'Em Down
You can use oils to wipe down your shoes to get rid of the smell. Peppermint, lavender, tea tree and lemon work really well for this job. If you don’t have them, though, here’s a cleaning concoction you might’ve never heard of before. Mix essential oil, vodka and distilled water together. It can work wonders to get rid of the smell and some stains on your shoes.

No. 2 - Store Shoes with a Cedar Block
Cedar is a magic wood that can get rid of the odor in the drawer and the shoe boxes. It’s a cheaper alternative to Sports Balls, and you will look a little bit more classy that way too.

No. 3 - Mr Clean
Stubborn stains and marks can be ridden off with Mr Clean. It’s actually one of the best sneaker cleaning products out there. It will keep your sneakers looking fresh when you are roaming around the streets. It might not help much with the odor, but that’s not what it’s designed to do anyway.

No. 4 - Clean Immediately After Using
The fibers can attract a lot of odor-causing bacteria, which is why you need to get into the habit of cleaning your sneakers often with a mild soap so you don’t damage the colors from over cleaning.

No. 5 - Let Them Breathe
Putting your shoes in a dark box all the time will make the bacteria grow that much faster. You need to let the sun and the air does its things once in a while. Once you clean your shoes, you should look to let the sun dry it out a little bit.

No. 6 - Don't Overthink It, Throw Them in the Washing Machine
Ok, this might not be something you should do all the time, but it can be done. Remove the shoe laces and the sole, spread the tongue out and throw it in the washing machine with a gentle option and let the machine does its thing.

No. 7 - Sneaker Balls
Sneaker Balls are like deodorant for sneakers. If you don’t have a lot of times, it’s quick and easy to just throw them in your sneakers and let them do their job.
5 Types of Sneakers That You Should Have in Your Collection
Written by Gabriel S. on Oct. 22nd 2018
We all know that the right pair of sneakers can take your outfit from drab to fab. However, it isn’t all that easy to find the perfect pair. A lot of people make the mistake of going for the newest or the most hyped pair, hoping that the novelty alone will upgrade their outfit. However, the most recent release isn’t always going to be the best addition to your collection.

When building a sneaker collection, it’s important for you to put together something versatile so that you’ve always got the perfect pair to complete your outfit. You don’t necessarily need to be a hardcore sneaker collector to always have the right pair on hand. All you need are the following five so that you always have something casual, something dressy, something comfortable, something luxurious, and something that you can flex.

Let’s take a look at the five fundamental sneakers that you need to build your collection:

1 - The Classic Pair
This is the pair that matches with just about every outfit in your closet. You could wear it to work just as easily as you could wear it out during the weekend. It’s best that this pair is of a neutral color - black, white, brown, and tans are great options. Make sure that your classic pair can be worn during seasonal transitions as well.

2 - The Comfortable Pair
There are always those days when you just want to wear a comfortable pair of sneakers. This is a pair that you could wear for hours on end without feeling uncomfortable. Something lightweight but supportive should do the trick. Be sure to not get something too soft, though. You'll be comfortable for a time, but your feet will be aching earlier than you’d like.

3 - The Everyday Pair
On those days when you don’t want to put too much effort into planning your outfit, the everyday pair is the one you’ll be throwing on. There are tons of athleisure pairs from Nike, Reebok, ASICS, and Adidas that you can grab and wear without worrying about getting them scratched or worn. This is the pair that you don’t have to worry about wearing out.

4 - The Flex Pair
When you want to give your outfit a little summin’ summin’, it’s time to break out the flex pair. A pair of Yeezy’s will do just fine, but if you really want to flex, grab a unique pair that will catch a fellow sneakerhead’s eye from a mile away.

5 - The Luxury Pair
The final pair you should add to your collection is a luxurious, quality pair. This is going to be the pair that you painstakingly clean after every single wear. They’ll last forever if you take care of them well, but they’ll also never fail to amaze when paired with an amazing outfit. Opt for something made of quality materials with a timeless style.
How to Make $500 Per Month Selling Shoes Cash Part Time
Written by Gabriel S. on Oct. 28th 2018
You can actually make a decent living selling sneakers. However, many people can’t or don’t want to put their time and energy into giving it a try. If you enjoy your job and just want a side hustle to add to your savings or make bigger strides on your student loans, reselling sneakers may be the perfect job for you. Besides being a great way to earn money, it can be fun! Most people don’t give it a try simply because they are unaware of what a great side hustle possibility it is.

Now that you’re reading this article, you can’t say you don’t know about the possibilities of sneaker resale. You could make up to $5,000 a month if you’re really dedicated!

If you’d like to give it a try, this article will give you the low-down on what you need to get started. If you want to delve in and really get into it, however, you’ll have to spend some time in the industry and learn everything you can. This is simply because if you want to make serious bank selling sneakers, you need to be obsessed with them. You’ve got to be willing to wake up at the wee hours just to check the prices of the latest drop.

That being said, if you’re just getting started, begin with a more modest goal. All you want is to make a profit on a pair of sneakers. Don’t go in expecting to make a ton of money on your first sale. The market is always changing and not every sneaker holds the same value. Work with the opportunities that are currently open to you.

Perhaps you’re dishearted because you’ve recently missed out on a major drop that could have made you a hefty sum. Don’t waste time moping about - new sneakers are constantly being released and there will eventually be something that hypes people up enough to pay major money just to get their hands on a pair.

If you want to increase the amount you’re earning monthly, you’ll have to approach sneaker resale like you would any other business opportunity. You’ll have to have a goal. It isn’t enough to have a goal - you’ll have to hit it. If you want to hit $1000 a month, you’ll have to make a point of earning around $200 a week. By working hard to stick to your goals, you’ll get better at what you do. You’ll have to always be looking for new places to get inventory and new markets to advertise your product.

Some people make sneaker resale seem remarkably easy. At times, it is and it can make you major money in a short time. To get to that level, however, you have to become a pro. You’re going to have to put a lot of time and effort into learning the trade.

Something that a lot of successful sneaker resale names out there don’t mention is all the time it took for them to reach that level of expertise. Be grateful for all the resources out there that you can use to learn and become a professional.

How to Prepare Your Sneakers For Sale
Written by Gabriel S. on Nov. 3rd 2018
How to Prepare Sneakers For Selling

Sometimes you just want some quick cash. The fastest way to get it is to visit a pawn shop. At pawn shops, you can cash in your items for money and either get it back when you repay the cash, with interest or exchange the item completely.

Pawn shops will also take items like shoes, an item most people will have. You can pawn designer sneaker brands like Yeezy, Air Jordan, or Saint Laurent Court Classics, and get an instant cash loan for them in return. The best part is that you have four months to pay back the loan and you will be able to wear your shoes!

Preparation

Pawning shoes or sneakers comes with a few rules. They need to be valuable, whether it’s a designer brand, a collectable or otherwise exclusive. Try to bring the sneakers in with the original shoebox and wrapping, as it can make a difference in the price too.

Always remember that shoes are personal wear, make sure to clean the thoroughly before trying to sell them, maybe even spend a few bucks to get them deodorized.

Pricing

Pricing is completely up to your item and its condition. Staff should be experienced and able to spot fakes right away; they will judge your items based on several conditions. Go in for a quote before selling if you’d like and do research beforehand by checking out resale prices on eBay.

Once you’ve seen what your shoes are going for on eBay, remember that you’ll get anywhere from 40-60% of that value, as the rest will be used by the pawn shop to absorb the costs associated with making loans and potentially having to resell your shoes if you don’t buy them back. If you feel like this is unfair, keep in mind that we pay out the highest prices for your item and that they’re sure to give you a fair price for your pawned sneakers.
